See Larry Pittman. Larry Pittman said Junteenth is a lie and people need to do other research besides what you can find in a book. by @ljsmithtn

Well, my contractor said "thank God for rain" and that was a whole sermon. I wasn't gonna put on a new roof for at least another year.

You still got time to get in on some of this fun @pageturnerunlimited @_loveitorlistit @hgtv

Thanks!! @miked1207

I need you @pageturnerunlimited!! AND @hgtv

In all seriousness, cleaning out this house has been one of the most fascinating things I've literally EVER done. (See previous post)

The previous owner was 92 when he passed and the house, built in 1961, was the only home he and his wife ever owned. So, many locally, historically significant items and photos were found, that reflecting on that (sort of 😘) helps.

It took about a year to get all the "stuff" out. Then another 18 months to sell everything thing I didn't want to keep.

One of the first things I stumbled upon was a Bate High School Alumni Reunion year book (@batemiddle) It just happened to be the one from moma's graduation year. ❤️😥❤️😥

Found a history of the Baptist Convention from post slavery to "present" (1925), including the start of FIrst Baptist Church-2nd & Walnut Street. It was published in 1925 and a copy resides in the @schomburgcenter Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, New York Public Library.

The photos of a generation of African American Danvillians from the early 20th century, I would consider priceless. Mid century household items and decor. Original ... 1969 Home Interior .... lots .... and lots of ... Home Interior 😳😆😆

It's been a long long process. Losing moma, who was to be one of my first official house guests after renovations ... thar haven't happened yet.... it's been a loooong process.

But I can see the finish. Lord Lord Jesus!!!!

Thank ya Father God!!

Ok "buy the house Lisa. You'll be close to your parents Lisa. Cleaning it out, 'll be easy Lisa"

Three years later ... I'm trying to empty a refrigerator that hadn't been open. For. Four. Years .... before i bought it .....🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯

Somebody .... help .... me
