August 12, 2025 @rosamariapaya shares:Con profundo alivio, celebramos que Aymara ya está libre y a salvo. Aymara Nieto Muñoz llegó a Santo Domingo junto a su esposo, Ismael Boris, y sus dos hijas menores, después de 7 largos años de injusto encarcelamiento. Los agentes de la dictadura que la torturaron todo este tiempo la amenazaron con que jamás saldría de prisión, salvo para el exilio. Promotora de Cuba Decide, activista de UNPACU y de las Damas de Blanco, Aymara fue encarcelada por su labor pacífica en favor de la libertad de Cuba y de los presos políticos. Sufrió aislamiento, castigos y graves problemas de salud, lejos de su familia y de sus niñas. En dos ocasiones la dictadura fabricó cargos para intentar perpetuar su encierro. Pese a todo, se mantuvo firme. Su coraje es un grito de libertad que el régimen no ha podido silenciar. Agradecemos a todos los que han apoyado a Aymara y a su familia, y especialmente a los patriotas de la Asociación de Cubanos en República Dominicana por acogerla con generosidad. July 6, 2025 Ana Belkis Ferrer posts :EN VENGAZA POR SU VALENTIA ESTAN ASESINANDO A MI ADMIRABLE Y DIGNO HERMANO. 12 DIAS BAJO CRUELES Y SISTEMATICAS TORTURAS, BRUTALES GOLPIZAS, ABUSOS, HUMILLACIONES Y EN HUELGA DE HAMBRE Por orden de los Castros y Díaz Canel, el día 25 de Junio los militares jefes de la prision Mar Verde, comenzaron a golpear salvajemente a #SOSFerrer, ese día le propinaron dos brutales golpizas que le sacaron las heces fecales, lo volvieron a golpear salvajemente el 26, el 27, el 28, recesaron las golpizas el día 29 y 30 y continuaron el día 1ro de Julio, el 2, el 3, el 4, el 5, repitiendo el cruel peoceder de no parar hasta sacarle las heces fecales. Lo dejan inconciente tirado en el piso, lo patean, le dan puñetazos y con lo que tengan por todas partes del cuerpo, sobre todo en la cabeza y area de los riñones, luego lo sujetan entre varios sicarios que a golpes le abren la boca para intentar obligarlo a ingerir un poquito de leche, al no lograrlo le tiran la leche encima y cuando vuelve en si las moscas se lo están comiendo. Los reclusos solidarios temen ayudarle, han sido amenazados con ser torturados y salvajemente golpeados y temen padecer el mismo o similar martirio. Reforzaron las cámaras de vigilancia y pusieron un grupo de reos con delitos criminales y al servicio de la dictadura a vigilar permanentemente y controlar todo lo que se mueva entorno a José Daniel. José Daniel cada dia mas debilitado, hoy cumple 12 dias en huelga de hambre. Me pregunto si ya le propinaron la salvaje golpiza planificada para este Domingo y solo deseo que a todos esos criminales se les paralicen tanto sus piernas como sus brazos. My wholehearted congratulations to my dear friend @RosaMariaPaya on her nomination by the #OASAssembly to @CIDH. I know first-hand how deeply committed she is to the global struggle for human rights, and how clearly she understands the ties between the brutal dictatorships of Latin America and the regimes in Minsk, Moscow, and Tehran. I still vividly remember our conversation about her late father, Oswaldo — himself a victim of the brutal communist regime — and the image of Father Popiełuszko that belonged to him at the moment of his death, which she still carries with her to this day. Rosa, your nomination is a tribute to your courage — and to your father’s enduring legacy. Z całego serca gratuluję mojej drogiej przyjaciółce @RosaMariaPaya nominacji przez #OASAssembly do @CIDH. June 27, 2025 @rosamariapaya :ROSA MARÍA PAYÁ ACEVEDO COMISION INTERAMERICANA DE DERECHOS HUMANOS 2026-2029 Profundamente honrada por la confianza que los Estados de las Américas han depositado en mí para defender los derechos humanos de todos en nuestra región. Gracias a los Estados Unidos por la audacia de presentar una candidatura tan extraordinaria como la mía y por su invaluable apoyo durante toda la campaña. Vivimos en un continente donde la democracia se debilita, la represión crece y millones de personas sufren los efectos del colapso del Estado de derecho. La violencia, el crimen organizado, el desplazamiento forzado y la persecución golpean con más fuerza a los más vulnerables: niñas, niños, mujeres y perseguidos políticos. La misión de la Comisión Interamericana es esencial. Por eso, mis prioridades son claras: proteger a quienes más lo necesitan, defender la democracia, asegurar una Comisión eficaz y transparente, y acercar el sistema a los más vulnerables. Nací bajo la tiranía más larga y sangrienta que ha sufrido nuestro continente. Esa tiranía ha costado el fin de la democracia en Nicaragua y Venezuela, y ha provocado la mayor crisis migratoria de nuestra historia. Las Américas han pagado un precio altísimo por tolerar durante tanto tiempo al régimen cubano. Nos corresponde a nosotros, las mujeres y los hombres de las Américas, detener de una vez por todas a la cabeza del pulpo autoritario y a todos sus tentáculos, que tanto dolor siembran en nuestros países. Mi padre, quien dio su vida por la libertad, estaba convencido de que los derechos humanos existen más allá de las fronteras de la raza, la cultura o la política. No se otorgan: se protegen. Su ejemplo es mi inspiración para defender a todas las víctimas desde la Comisión Interamericana de Derechos Humanos. Será un honor servir a todos los pueblos de las Américas. by @ll1969

It will be an honor to serve all the peoples of the Americas.Thank you to the United States for the boldness of putting forward a candidacy as extraordinary as mine, and for its invaluable support throughout the entire campaign.We live on a continent where democracy is weakening, repression is growing, and millions suffer the consequences of the collapse of the rule of law.Violence, organized crime, forced displacement, and persecution hit the most vulnerable the hardest: children, women, and political dissidents.That is why the mission of the Inter-American Commission is essential. My priorities are clear: to protect those who need it most, to defend democracy, to ensure an effective and transparent Commission, and to bring the system closer to the most vulnerable.I was born under the longest and bloodiest dictatorship this continent has known. That tyranny has brought about the collapse of democracy in Nicaragua and Venezuela and has triggered the largest migration crisis in our history.The Americas have paid a very high price for tolerating the Cuban regime for so long. It is up to us—the women and men of the Americas—to finally put an end to the authoritarian octopus’s head and all its tentacles, which have brought so much pain to our nations.My father, who gave his life for freedom, believed that human rights exist beyond the borders of race, culture, or politics. The United States is proud to have nominated Rosa María Payá for this role. Rosa María Payá is a principled, courageous, and deeply committed human rights and democracy defender. Her record of fearless leadership and moral clarity—particularly in confronting authoritarianism and promoting democratic values—reflects the very ideals upon which the IACHR was founded. Rosa María brings the dignity and resolve to tackle the Commission’s greatest challenges with innovative solutions all while keeping a focus on serving the people of the Americas. I have full confidence in her ability to make the Commission more effective, efficient, and relevant. If elected, she will serve our hemisphere with independence, integrity, and a steadfast commitment to justice and accountability.
