#Cuba In 2023, Cuba remains a draconian island, where political imprisonment stands as the gravest humanitarian crisis for Cuban families. The Cuban regime persists in ruthlessly quashing organized opposition, coercing political figures like José Daniel Ferrer into forced exile. Even behind bars, the Ladies in White, including Saylí Navarro, Sissi Abascal, Aymara Nieto, Jacquelin Heredia, and Tania Echevarria, endure severe, dehumanizing treatment as they assert their fundamental #humanrights.

Despite enduring torture and abuse, Cuban political prisoners stand unwavering in their dedication to champion democracy in Cuba. The oppressive tactics of the Cuban government persist, compelling courageous individuals into exile and subjecting the Ladies in White to intolerable conditions. It is imperative for #Canada & the international community to unite, condemning these atrocities and advocating for the release of those unjustly imprisoned. #CubaHumanRights #EndPoliticalPrison #SetThemFree #PresosPoliticos #DemocracyForCuba 🇨🇺✊

#Cuba The Party slogan: “Whoever controls the past, controls the future, and whoever controls the present controls the past,” in George Orwell’s classic novel 1984, reminds us of totalitarian regimes’ obsession with controlling & monopolizing information.
Initiatives like Marti Verifica @MartiVeriCuba hold great value as they join other key global initiatives countering #disinformation generated by #authoritarian regimes worldwide—from #Havana, #Moscow, #Beijing, #Tehran, and beyond.

#Cuba On International #ArtistDay, we join the call for the immediate and unconditional release, without the imposition of forced exile, of #artists and prisoners of conscience Luis Manuel Otero @LMOAlcantara & Maykel 'Osorbo.' Both have endured constant harassment and have been unjustly deprived of their freedom. Their art and music have inspired a generation in Cuba to mobilize in defense of a democratic nation resonating with people worldwide. 🎨🎶✊

#Cuba On September 6, it will mark 6 months of the Cuban regime's ban on phone calls for Cuban prisoner of conscience and leader of the Patriotic Union of Cuba, @jdanielferrer , to his wife and relatives. Since then, the regime has only provided proof of life twice.

Nelva Ortega, his wife, has only been able to see him for only a few minutes on one occasion in the past several months.

Historia interminable. Continúa el teatro con la carta al presidente cubano Díaz Canel. Muy tú mismo en el vídeo.

Never ending Story. Das Theater mit dem Brief an den kubanischen Präsidenten Díaz Canel geht weiter. Sehr selbst im Video.
