We’re so excited to finally get the word out about what an absolutely beautiful evening we’ve got planned. SOUP NIGHT: There’s No ICE in This Soup December 16, 2025 • Portland, OR Everyone is invited to Soup Night on Tuesday, December 16th, a community gathering centered around soup, bread, fresh-baked cookies, conversation, and care. From 5–8pm at Che (920 NE Glisan), chefs, farmers, makers, and local businesses are joining forces to support immigrant families and community members pushed into poverty or food insecurity, especially as safety-net resources remain uncertain. Soup Night is built on a simple idea: sharing a bowl of soup is an act of solidarity and the belief that everyone deserves to be fed and safe. For $20, guests enjoy a hearty, community-made meal—and that same purchase also provides a meal for someone experiencing food insecurity.  All food and funds from the event will be donated through @growinggardenspdx , who will distribute meals and resources directly to community members in need.  Beer, @landmasswines , and cocktails with support from local producers will be available, with 100%  beverage proceeds also supporting the effort. Allow me to introduce the face behind @llenapdx. I’m Jami,and Llena is my little love child of 20 years of cooking, many years of farming, and a whole lifetime of traveling and eating. I love vegetables, have intense wanderlust, and am a crazy dog lady, spending most of my free time with my dogs, and fundraising for local dog rescues! If you see me around, please say hi! @llenapdx first weekend of events in the books, and what a weekend it was. I’m so thankful to @landmasswines (who I love endlessly) for inviting me to their pride party, and Sunday funday pop up, @butch_bakerpdx for all of their help and support, and @wildrootsfarmers for almost all of the incredible produce y’all got to enjoy. For those of you who came out and supported me this weekend, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I feel full, and isn’t that the whole point of llena?
