I had the pleasure of creating three custom looks for Aron to wear on BBC’s I Kissed a Boy series 2 - a great show celebrating the queer love 🌈 (where he also met his love shout out @jaskeran ) The looks I created:

✨ Upcycled multi-shaded jeans round-neck tank top
✨ Bandeau top made up of a series of ties (12)
✨ Kente fabric two-piece with denim accents

I heard it’s Met Gala day 🎉✨— so true spirit I challenged myself to tailor a playful suit in the spirit of this year’s theme: ‘Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.’

I created this look as a celebration of woven traditions from African and Asian cultures — a tribute to craftsmanship, heritage, and storytelling through fabric.

A major source of inspiration was La Sape, the fashion-forward subculture born in the Congolese cities of Brazzaville and Kinshasa, where style became protest and elegance, a form of resistance. The patterns truly speak for themselves — maybe I’ll do a separate video breaking that down because the extravagance is everything.

I also pulled from the legacy of André Leon Talley — the very embodiment of dandyism (he would have lived for this theme) — and the bold brilliance of blues singer and Harlem Renaissance icon Gladys Bentley, who redefined Black queer dandyism.

All I’m missing is the cane and outercoat… for now. 🪡🧵

In addition to the exhibitions, and curated heritage events, we have started a monthly music event series at Queen of The South. Different cultural workshops every time. New DJs every month.

As South London born and bred co-founders, we’re keen to host intentional black spaces for all London creatives - but south - so this one’s special for us☝🏾☝🏽.

Recently, I hosted my first ever batik workshop for @ekomaworld event "AYA” (an adinkra symbol meaning “fern” which signifies endurance and independence) and honestly I’m still buzzing from it!

Batik is a beautiful wax-resist dyeing technique with deep roots across Asia and Africa, especially in Ghana. It’s more than just making prints — it’s an art form tied to identity, resistance, tradition, and self-expression. Growing up, I was always in awe of the bold patterns and the stories woven into every piece of fabric. So to lead a workshop sharing this craft with others really was a dream.

I’ve always wanted to run creative workshops like this — and this is just the beginning/a taster of some of the things I can do especially in things I can do in the new house. I'm also a little bit of a shy girly when it comes to posting stuff I do so I'm forcing myself out to mould 😂. I’ve got so much more coming under @lmacustoms which I'm excited to share. This was a fun project to work on especially for a great initiative @thecook.out . I’ve really been enjoying making different type of men’s shirts, especially experimenting with different fabrics. I created the pattern from scratch from existing

For this one, I had some leftover fabric that I bought from Ghana, so I was able to incorporate it into the the shirt.
