It's been a honour and a pleasure to have been invited to partecipate to the Beijing Culture Forum 2026 organized by the City Government of the China's capital. Preservation of Heritage surely is one of the future global targets and one way to help all of us to learn more about our many cultures. The message that accomunated all the speeches I listened during this two-day conference can be summed in this phrase: "Your culture is also my culture, your heritage is also my heritage". The goal to understand, preserve, inform, save and protect identities, territories, nature, and mankind has been the backbone of the very high quality meetings, great speeches I listened during BCF 26, together with a real willing to collaborate internationally to achieve this great common target.
Thanks to the friends of BUCEA for the two professional salons I could partecipate with my presentations, and thanks to all the organizers for the incredible perfect realization of this huge international conference.
It has been wonderful to share this event with my Polimi - DASTU Dept. colleague and friend prof. Francesca Albani: "my" Environmental Design and "her" Heritage Preservation research subjects can collaborate with success for the future generations cultures and identities preservation goal..

Last April I have been invited by MAD to visit their new Shenzhen Bay Cultural Park in order to write an article about for ABITARE. Now the article has been published on A 657. Thanks to arch. Yosuke Hayano of MAD Architect's for showing me all the details of this great projects that combines high structural details together with a clear architectural design concept, developing sensorial and mystical impressions coming from European philosophy, Japanese culture and old knowledge and innovative technology research from contemporary China.
Some time some stones are really more than stones.
You see...

It's not Fondazione Prada, it's not a Wes Anderson set. It's simply a time-capsule where I woke up last morning. And I felt like a child in that wide living space, bringing me back to the '70s. How many memories.
Everyone has their own madeleine.

Also this year, @theplanmag asked me to write the forward for the International Panorama series issue, arrived at its 5th volume. Also this year the book presents several interesting projects realized "everywhere", and also this year has been my duty to find a fil-rouge that could indicate a link connecting all these architectures. The result is my critical essay "A Common Grammar, Many Different Styles" that opens this project collection that includes examples of reusing, repurposing, and regenerating of existing structures. A sign of times.
Have a look!!

After 8 years back to Athens thanks to a BIP Erasmus + Workshop organized by University of Thessaly in collaboration with NTUA Athens. There's always something to learn about ourselves as Europeans walking throughout this millennary town. Any layer is a miracle. Ola sto fos // All under the light.
