[ ⋆｡°✩LUCKY STRIKE ⋆｡°✩ ] Introducing LUCKY STRIKE, NSFW’s new contemporary art platform by Lauren Johnson and Oscar Ramos. LUCKY STRIKE is a floating stage for shared encounters in contemporary art. Drifting through Stockholm and beyond without a fixed address, it embraces risk, discovery, and the chance of a lucky strike. A platform in motion, it connects artists and publics across Sweden and internationally through exhibitions, music, and hybrid events. About the Founders & Directors ✩ Lauren Johnson (b. 1990 Colorado, US) is an independent curator based in Stockholm and Elk Glade Ranch in the Rocky Mountains. She received her BA in Art History at The University of California-Berkeley, graduated from the MA in Curating, including Art, Management, and Law at Stockholm University and CuratorLab at Konstfack University in Stockholm. Lauren has curated exhibitions in caves, waterfalls, and islands, as well as in institutions and galleries in Sweden and the US. She’s a Pisces and identical twin. ✩ Oscar Ramos (b. 1980, CDMX, MEX) is a Mexican curator and artist based in Gothenburg. He is the co-founder and artistic director of the contemporary art platform NSFW, and project manager of ARTKA, a digital platform aimed at promoting visibility and accessibility within the Swedish contemporary art field. Ramos has curated exhibitions featuring artists such as Hito Steyerl, Sandra Mujinga and Metahave, among others. Just like his colleague in Lucky Strike, he’s a Pisces. @lo.etgo @oscar__ramos Logo and art direction by our favorite @axisvictor #luckystrike #pisces by @lo.etgo

We’re Everlasting Energy November 8–January 18, 2025 Opening at LOYAL Friday, November 8, 5-8 pm Special performance by Merely at 7:30 Lucie Gottlieb Gustaf Holtenäs Konrad Lidén Ingrid Segring Aurea Tanttu Annie Åkerman Performance by Merely (YEAR0001) Curated by yours truly Top notes: dusty marble, ego, hourglass sand Heart notes: burning flowers, crypt, 3 cherries in a row Base notes: lunar light, scream, desert sage ♾️ ♾️ ♾️ Head bent kneeling before broken stones, broken times, a ruin. Veneration or vengeance? Hard to choose a strand and pull. We’ve all been first and last, it’s a coin toss. Not fate but chance. Patterns unravel out here. It’s a ruin for two—no winner, no loser, just the lone and level sands. Skulls roll through mirages like tumbleweeds, bound to eternal turning. Death is what gives life its nectar, lean in. We’re everlasting energy. Spent last week with Solastagia Pangolin, in residence hosted by The Centre of Art and the Political Imaginary (CAPIm) together with artists Signe Johannessen and Erik Rören, near Art Lab Gnesta’s new space Epoken. Thank you! ✽ Not looking at your reflection for days on end does something. I see my legs walk the country road and forest path, my arms write and cook, but I certainly have no head. This reflection privileges sight, image, smoke and mirrors, reinforcing the societal value of appearance and the Western trope of body-mind dualism that encourages a split between myself and nature. But here, my image melts into the surrounding landscape and my inner weather rages until it settles into sun, rain, wind. by @lo.etgo
