BTS of WHO ARE YOU, POLLY MAGOO?

Inspired by William Klein’s surreal 1966 satire Who Are You, Polly Magoo?, Julia Sarturi and Karol Moreira explore what it means to create for the silhouette rather than simply dress the body. Aluminium foil, graphic patterns, unusual accessories and exaggerated shapes turn unconventional materials into clothing, pushing fashion somewhere between construction, the absurd and the avant-garde.

Danna Löwenberg takes us behind the scenes of constructing the looks.  Thank you all team for the amazing work!

Third-year students from the Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design @dot.ornot presented their final collections, developed collaboratively in groups through a process of exploring identity, diversity, and the different design languages cultivated throughout the academic year.

“DOT.ORNOT was born from a moment of transition, between who we once were and who we are beginning to become. We are moving toward a more mature and conscious version of ourselves, while still holding on to a youthful, creative, and spontaneous energy that we do not want to lose.
It is within this space that the Telmos emerge—characters created collectively as reflections of identities in progress. Imperfect, strange, and authentic, they embody the tension between freedom and control, chaos and structure.”

THE BOYZ
In a time shaped by conflict and collapse, when smoke fills the sky and the noise of weapons tries to silence the voice of humanity, the world can feel stripped of meaning. Yet even in the darkest moments, love and brotherhood persist - quietly, stubbornly - as acts of resistance. Between fear and faith, there is still “Ngana Zambi”, a reaching toward something higher, a name for protection, meaning, light when everything else falls apart.
To love in times of war is courage. Not in fighting, but in maintaining compassion in a dehumanizing world. Empathy in conflict is a humble yet powerful force, generating light where darkness insists on prevailing.
This is friendship as survival: boys running through sand, embracing, wrestling, holding onto one another beneath a heavy sky. While war passes, humanity remains. It is the light war cannot extinguish: friendship.
