METAL GEAR CHICKENS
Chicken Run (2000) on PS1

This game is pretty much MGS for kids and I love it!

I remember renting it when I was a kid and it's still just as fun to play today.
The story follows the film but has you sneaking around the farm like Solid Snake finding items to aid your escape.

Anyone else love this one as much as me?

This PS1 game is just a Summer Holiday... but it's so wholesome and an absolute joy to play!

Boku No Natsuyasumi is all about an adult Boku retelling/reliving a vacation from 1975. It lets you spend your time how you like and you end each day by writing in your diary (saving the game).

It was exclusive to Japan and even has a PS2 sequel.

Have you played this one, or the sequel?

PS1 DLC (but the D stands for Disc)

This is GTA London 1969. Set in 60s London with Union Jack paint jobs, Minis, and driving on the correct side of the road 😅

The catch? You couldn't just boot it. You had to:
Load London -> Swap to GTA 1 -> Swap BACK to London.
2 disc swaps just to get to the menu.

Totally feels like they were riding that Austin Powers 60s hype. Still great to play though.

Would you do the swaps now, or is digital just better?

Worms (1995) on Playstation and CRT TV

Developed by Team17 and published by Ocean. Such a good game to sit and play with friends and family. Still great fun today!

What is your favourite memory of this one?

Games room is 70% done!

Finally got the big bookcases up and added some Kallax shelves for the consoles, really happy with how it's all coming together.

Still LOTS to do though!

Also grabbed this awesome desk mat from @gamingprintz (the Pokemon Gold one) and a few cheap pickups this week. Been loving the PS2 demo discs and I finally got Worms for PS1.

Let me know what you think so far and stick around to see how it turns out!

As good as the movies?!

I just picked this up from my local CeX. I've never played it before but it surely can't be anywhere near the level of the films.

It was a decent price and the disc and manual are immaculate.

Have you played this one?
Is it any good?

The Famicom was Japan-only.

Nintendo later redesigned it into the NES we got in 1987, but a lot of great games never came with it.

I love anything Astro Boy or Captain Tsubasa so having these in the collection is special.

Which is best, the big grey box or the red & white Famicom?

Final Fantasy VIII (1999) on PS1 and CRT TV

I picked this up recently and it's one that I've not played before.
Right from the offset the vibes are COMPLETELY different to VII.

I'm looking forward to getting into it!

Is VIII underrated?
Which is the best Final Fantasy of the lot?

My game collection is my soundtrack.

3 of my favourite video game OSTs in 60 seconds, all played by me.

How many did you get?

Which game should I do a feature on next?

We've got 6 interesting and pretty different games here so let me know which one you want to see:

RPG School 3
InuYasha
Ultraman Fighting Evolution
Captain Tsubasa J
Tokimeki Memorial
Double Cast

Let me know in the comments because it won't let me do 6 options in a poll 😅

GOLD & SILVER were supposed to be the end of Pokémon.

Instead, they became the blueprint for every game after. We're now heading into Gen 10!

Is Johto still peak?
That art on the Gameboy Colour and the amazing music is an instant nostalgia hit for me!
