For over 200 years, J. & L. Lobmeyr has been shaping crystal and glass in Vienna — entirely by hand. ✨

Founded in 1823 by Joseph Lobmeyr, the company soon became a purveyor to the Imperial Court, creating exquisite glassware and chandeliers that reflected the elegance of the Habsburg era. To this day, Lobmeyr glasses are still blown, cut, engraved and polished by hand, while their iconic lighting pieces are produced in atelier workshops in the heart of Vienna.

Inside the Liechtenstein CITY PALACE gilded salons and stuccoed ceilings glow beneath Lobmeyr chandeliers.

Completed in 1705, Liechtenstein CITY PALACE is one of Vienna’s earliest baroque city palaces.

Today, its grand rooms shine in restored splendor, illuminated by the original chandeliers, expertly restored by Lobmeyr.

Founded in 1823 and once a purveyor to the imperial court, the Viennese glassmaker brings 19th-century craftsmanship into perfect harmony with 18th-century architecture.

Honoured to be invited by the iconic Viennese glassware and lighting house @lobmeyr @lobmeyrlighting to design a table for Vienna Design Week.
My table was a Journey Through Vienna is a love letter to the city—from Baroque grandeur to the elegant modernity of Jugendstil. Kurland porcelain by KPM sets a scene of imperial refinement, while Josef Hoffmann’s Wiener Werkstätte cutlery brings the clarity and geometry that reshaped European design.

Hoffmann-designed Lobmeyr glasses meet Stefan Rath’s iconic Alpha glasses, bringing two chapters of Viennese craftsmanship together. And for the sweetest moment at the table, Viennese cake artist @stolzes created a special cake inspired by Jugendstil’s sinuous lines and ornament.

A city’s story, told through the things we gather around the table. ✨

It has been a great pleasure designing our unique Potpourri Würstelstand for this years 20th anniversary of @viennadesignweek

The last 10 festival days were truly special, merci to all visitors for joining our installation! A chandelier that spent fifty years in an embassy, then disappeared, then came home.

Designed by Ceno Kosak in 1966 for the Austrian Embassy in London, later stored away, and eventually found and restored at Lobmeyr’s own atelier.

We are excited to announce that the Orchid Collection has been nominated for the Falstaff LIVING Design Awards 2026!

Nominated in the lighting category, which celebrates light as a fundamental element of interior design, the Orchid takes its place among an array of distinctive designs.

Inspired by the contours of nature and reminiscent of gently unfurling petals, the collection was created with the idea in mind that illuminated or not, the pieces hold their own as sculptural statements.

The Orchid Collection marks the newest collaboration between designer Bodo Sperlein and @lobmeyrlighting, continuing their long-standing partnership.

The winner will be announced at the Falstaff Living Design Awards on October 12th, at Vienna’s iconic MAK Museum.

The Collection will also be available to be viewed next week during Bodo Sperlein’s exhibition at @designblok_prague at the @upm_prague.
