In my element ! ⬇️

I’ve been hosting online cultural experiences about Georgia almost a year already 🇬🇪

And these days it started becoming much more meaningful than just a form of entertainment during the lockdown. Recently I’ve noticed groups of students started joining me to develop their intercultural understanding and appreciate cultural diversity! 🌍

How amazing it is ?! ❤️

Thanks again @paulor10esser for giving me a chance to share stories of Georgia ! All the best

I’ve heard it’s a #worldtourismday today! 🌏

I’ve always believed that travel experiences should bring people together and encourage deeper cultural connections. And I try to build all my tourism projects based on these values.

Unfortunately Global tourism has suffered its worst two years , but in the end if it can make impersonal large-group, bus - concept tours disappear , maybe things are not as awful as it seems...

Cheers to that or as we say in Georgia “Gaumarjos”! 🥂

Wishing you meaningful travel experiences ahead ! I hope I made/will make my tiny contribution to your journey online or IRL ✈️❤️

Find someone who looks at you the way I am looking at this grape ! :)

It’s harvest time in Georgia and this picture literally sums up my September. 🍇

Generally vineyards have three harvesting options: by hand , by machine or combination of two. 🙌🏻🚜

We prefer harvesting by hand , because it allows us control the quality of the grape. This way we can carefully observe each bunch before picking , because damaged berry can lead to the bacterial growth.

Our new vineyard will produce its first grapes next year , so anyone willing to participate in the grape harvest , its time to start training your arms 💪🏻😛

No lockdown can stop the virtual wine gatherings ! 🥂

During the last couple of wine tastings we reviewed a local indigenous grape variety Kisi and its expressive white wine!

🍇Kisi grape almost got extinct during Soviet times , because it is a bit tough to grow and wasn’t preferred much in a mass wine production.

👉🏻However , after Soviet collapse and in this recent Georgian wine Boom , more and more producers started experimenting with this grape variety, but still.. distribution of Kisi wine is limited.

I am excited that big part of the grapevines in our vineyard is Kisi! Soon we will start making Kisi wine in a sustainable manner! 🌿 Already accepting requests for the first vintage 🙃

P.S. special ‘thank you’ goes to @tamada_australia for promoting Georgian wine culture in Australia.

Since I started my wine journey , I realized that working in the wine industry can be one of the most fulfilling jobs ! Sharing several reasons why : 🍷👇🏻

- I find learning about the wine englightening ! An education in wine is also an education in a world culture. You gain totally new perspective on life and people ❤️

- Storytelling is a big part of the wine. You get to share stories with curious people all over the world. It gives us chance to be proud of our identity and express what we do and why we do 🥂

- You get to spend so much time in nature ! Honestly, there is nothing like being out in the vineyard with a mountain view , while early morning the fog is sitting on the trees and the grapes are still cold from the night air ! 🌿🍇

Anyone who wants to try hand at something new , we have vacancies in our vineyard! 😜🤗

Amber wine aka liquid sunshine ☀️❤️

8000 years ago few Georgian wine makers asked themselves - “what if we make white wine just like red wine? “🍷

So they grabbed white grapes , crushed them and instead of removing the skin , they let them soak for several months in the Qvevri (clay vessel).

When they opened the Qvevri , they discovered something very special ! 💫

Since then country Georgia has been a homeland of Amber wine. 🇬🇪🥂

Last year @oiv_int added Georgian skin contact white wine to the list of the special wines.

Although we have a busy season in the vineyard , I try to squeeze in my favourite Georgian activity - hosting a wine tour for fellow travelers ! 🍷🇬🇪

I don’t operate as a tour company , so I give myself a complete freedom to show off my favourite places & experiences in the wine country of Georgia ! 👈🏻

Thank you guys for trusting me and choosing me for your Georgian wine experience !

At the end of the day there is no bigger compliment than hearing that you gave someone a memorable time! Its always such a blast 🥂

Much love ❤️

My favourite thing about Georgian wine cellars (obviously after wine 🍷) is discovering small tools and wine making items hidden there.

Georgian wine cellars are like museums! When you are here , you always need to pay attention to small details.. just random things that might seem unimportant , can turn out to be several centuries old things and tools - made by someone’s great great grand parents.

So much love is put in each detail that this feeling really gets transferred to the wine itself and makes the whole experience even more special ! ❤️

While we are observing how fast our organic grapevines grow and waiting for ‘Qvevri master’ to build our wine vessels , we are not wasting time and laying the foundation for our wine project !

Georgia has lifted travel restrictions and I continue designing wine & culture travel experiences for my guests.

We hosted great people this month. And I felt lucky that I could share my passion in-person like in the good old days ! :)
