Organic dairy farmers are suing the federal government over six years of payments into a pricing system built for factory farms.

The Coalition for Organic Dairy Exemption filed three federal challenges on April 28 seeking an organic exemption from USDA milk pricing rules.

The suit seeks compensation for those payments but does not ask the court to end the pricing system entirely.

North America’s only native caffeine plant just had its breakout year.

Yaupon holly grows wild across the Southeast, and it’s the sole caffeinated plant native to the continent.

Whole Foods named yaupon a top food trend, and Florida’s Yaupon Brothers has grown roughly 70 percent a year since 2019.

A wild shrub tea companies used to forage is becoming an actual Florida crop.

French school and work canteens must now serve plates that are half quality labelled food and one fifth organic.

The EGalim law set that rule for canteens run by public bodies and private catering firms starting in 2022.

A canteen required to buy labelled food every school day becomes steady, predictable work for small farms.
