We have a new song out today. It’s a cover of the Lou Reed song “Walk on the Wild Side” we recorded while staying in NYC in March this year, playing 3 shows, trying to make sense of this city.

Listen & save it now via the link in bio and slide through some memories of our time in New York here. Music video is out via @diffusmagazin today at 2PM!

3 months into motherhood. Rule number one is there are no rules. Every pregnancy, birth and baby is so different. So always bear this in mind when consuming mama content on instagram.
🦭
For me it works best to trust my instincts and take care of myself in order to take the best care of my baby. And to ask for help!
🦭
Personally, I loved pregnancy and had a wonderful birthing experience. I think you don’t hear this enough that giving birth can (!) also be quick and easy. This was hugely thanks to a doula, a midwife and a midwife student by my side at all times. I believe that a 1:1 care by a midwife for every birthgiver is key so please keep up the pressure on improving the financial situation of midwives.
🦭
We were then hit by a pretty bad newborn infection and me and baby seal had to stay in the hospital for 1 week, without Marco, while she got antibiotics through an IV. This was quite a shocker for us and all the stress led to me not producing enough milk and baby seal not putting on enough weight. Which led to more stress. I pushed through with lots of pumping, boob massages and laser therapy for my sore nipples. This was definitely a hard time but the emotional and medical support by the (completely overworked) staff at St. Josef Hospital helped immensely!
🦭
I also hugely underestimated breastfeeding which just now, after 3 months, comes easy to me and without any pain.
🦭
So these are my ups and downs of motherhood that you may not see in the little glimpses of my instagram stories. Be nice and forgiving to yourself parents! Needless to say, I absolutely adore my daughter and watch her every steps with so much gratitude and love.
🦭
PS; There may or may not be a documentary coming out soon following my steps as a new Rock’n’Roll mum. by @loerrrrr
