Lo-Fi’s last nite. After 20+ years, the Lo-Fi Performance Gallery on #Eastlake held its closing weekend on June 30 & July 1, 2023. A line extended down the block to dance one last time to DJs from some of its most popular & longest-running nites: @snap90sinseattle, @sortedseattle, @emeraldcitysoulclub, Swayze ‘80s, @stopbitingatlofi, Dug, Global Groove & more.

Owner Scott Behrens bid an emotional farewell, thanking the Lo-Fi staff, DJs, musicians & patrons over the years. A wall by the photo booth was filled with hand-written love notes.

#TheLofi was established in 2002 at 429 Eastlake Ave E in a 1918 building that also housed the Victory Lounge (displaced in December 2022) and is home to Vera Project’s all-ages music venue Black Lodge.

For 2 decades, #LoFiPerformanceGallery hosted live music, festivals, monthly DJ/dance nights, and more - with local, national & international artists across many genres.

Artists who played #LoFiSeattle included Prom Queen, IQU, Fabulous Downey Brothers, Thaddillac, Shorty Fresco, Hobosexual, Ononos, Bijoux, Beverly Crusher, Car Seat Headrest, Seagaze Fest & countless more.

With 2 separate rooms for music, Lo-Fi was filled with art and #OldSeattle energy - where a diverse cross-section of Seattlelites connected, danced, and became transformed on those old wood dance floors.

Keep your eyes out for an upcoming #VanishingSeattle film about Lo-Fi, in partnership with @niggatnite and @veraproject.

Share your @lofiseattle 💗 & memories 🪩🎶🎤🎸💃🏻🕺🏻
