Baby Oscar is TWO!

My little man loves to cuddle, laugh, sing and spread joy everywhere he goes. Is he a handful? Absolutely. But I love him endlessly. Happy birthday, Ozzie! ❤️ taken in Orlando, Florida by @loganbenedict

How many puppets can you spot?? 👀

First onstage appearance in the books! ✅

I’ll reiterate how special this entire experience has been. The greatest gift I’ve given myself the last few years is learning how to live in the present moment. Because of that, I shared so many laughs, gave so many hugs, learned so many things and enjoyed so many top notch performances. My heart is bursting from all the love and support (from all my Star Wars friends too!)

I couldn’t hold it together seeing @sarahsage17 and the boys after my first show. I’ve always been so fortunate to do what I love for a living - but seeing my boys LOVE my work and see the joy and excitement in their eyes is a feeling I never thought I’d access. Just magical. taken in Walt Disney World by @loganbenedict

After almost 5 weeks of intense rehearsal (and six years away from the stage), I’m officially signed off on Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond!

When we follow our actor friends, we often catch the highs, but it’s been a LONG road back to The Big Blue. I intend to perform at Disney as long as these roles are appropriate for me, so I submit year after year…. attend the callbacks… patiently wait for a call… offers go out…. I give a sad sigh… then move on to the next audition. I’m a pretty positive guy, but the grind can wear on your heart after so many close calls. Yes, I did the previous show (pictured), but that never guaranteed an automatic inviatation back to the stage.

I really, really wanted this one.

I mentioned in a previous post, we often don’t get second chances. With that in mind, I really tried to savor every minute of the process. This cast did not disappoint. Kindness, laughter, hugs, tears, cheers - we were all plugged in every single moment. This cast is so special, and I didn’t take one moment for granted.

Also… let me tell you… puppetry at Disney is no joke. Every flick of the tail, tilt of the head, blink of an eye, step of the foot is drilled into our bodies. Puppetry specialists, dance captains, music directors, creatives - sometimes there’d be more of them than us! If this show has ever looked easy, it’s because you’re watching professionals. Puppetry is an art. Period. And I’m so grateful to learn from the best.

All that to say, I’ll only be there as needed, but you can catch my first few swims on 9/29 or 10/13.

September 10th, 2004 I joined the Boston revival of Forever Plaid with @mig.cervantes @andrewgiordano and @adamnsouza - AND I joined @actorsequity 💪🏼

I graduated from the @bostonconservatory just a few months prior, so I’ve been extremely fortunate to be an active WORKING union member for 22 years! I couldn’t have asked for a better life. Miss these faces! ❤️ taken in Boston, Massachusetts by @loganbenedict

I’ve been less labor leader forward these days, but rest assured, I am still a labor leader. I’ve sat on negotiations that represent ten years of contract language, and I promise you - our workplace would be a completely different landscape without a union.

I don’t think of my employer as an opponent. I believe we’re active partners. Our talent, our presence and our labor is what brings people back year after year. We LOVE what we do - and joyful, supported workers create happy, excited and loyal guests.

I’m part of the greatest community in the world ❤️
Happy Labor Day my friends!🎉

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opened seven years ago today! I wasn’t part of the opening team, but I was assigned to The First Order about four months later. Originally, I thought it would be an occasional stop, but it’s been home for many cycles now. I’m infinitely grateful to continue sharing stories there with millions of guests year after year. For The Order! ✊🏻
