POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Finished my first official “work week” in the Big Blue 💙 I finally have the ability to form (somewhat) adequate words of appreciation.

My first email address I created in elementary school was seaturtleryan@gmail.com (it’s not active anymore don’t send anything). My big fourth grade science project was on turtles. I had a pet turtle named Squirt as a child, and my dad had the cast of Finding Nemo in a salt water aquarium in the living room growing up (justice for Bubbles).

The story of Finding Nemo clearly meant a lot to me as a kid. Being able to love on my childhood self in this way means a lot to me as an adult. It is an honor to have a full time job in which I get share in telling this story about love, growth, trust, community, loss, overcoming, family, and chosen family. Beyond all of that, it is a true joy to be a part of on and off stage. Literally pinch me.

I am in awe of the circle of people I have around me, supporting me, and helping me become a better person every single day. I do not know what I did to deserve such a dream come true. I will never take this life for granted.

See y’all in the open ocean :)

Happiest of days for our family as our beloved Don turns 100 years old! We had a great party with both his children, two of his grandchildren, and his oldest great grandchild.

There are now five people at his assisted living who are 100 or older, he’s the only man!

Thank you all for your Instagram love for my wonderful FIL and our entire family!

Two days to go until FIL Don’s 100th birthday! Everyone in our family is celebrating, including the youngest member - one-year-old Oscar!

He was named for Don’s great grandfather - Oscar Aurelius Benedict. (little Oscar’s great great great great grandfather)

The original Oscar served in the 38th Wisconsin Infantry Regiment as part of the Union Army during the American Civil War. (the good guys fighting for the north)

Little Oscar and Don may be nearly 99 years apart in age but they have the important things in common - they are joyful, love to laugh, and are full of love! ❤

FIL Don’s 100th birthday is now four days away!

He’s celebrated by two children plus a spare (me), three grandchildren and their wonderful spouses, and TEN great-grandchildren! (the oldest was away at school, the youngest wasn’t born yet when these photos were taken)

We love you Don, and are so proud to be part of your family!

❤❤❤
