SPORTS REPORTING REEL | SPRING 2026 This reel contains packages that I created for WTOP-10TV, along with some of my questions from press conferences during my time at the 2026 NCAA + Ivy League Men’s Basketball tournaments, and the SUNYAC Men’s Ice Hockey championship. I am incredibly grateful to have had the privilege of working with so many talented colleagues this semester, learned a great deal and can’t wait to see what senior year has in store. As always, you can find all other published work of mine within my portfolio, which is linked in my bio! Any/all feedback is always appreciated! taken in SUNY Oswego by @loganwmedia

Over spring break, I had the opportunity of being media-credentialed for two NCAA men’s basketball postseason tournaments! From March 13 to 15, I was in Ithaca, N.Y., at the Ivy League tournament held at Cornell University. A week later, I was in Buffalo, covering the first and second rounds of the NCAA tournament. In both tournaments, I provided live reporting for the Mid-Major Basketball website. This included game previews, recaps and feature stories, all throughout the postseason festivities! I attended all pre and post-game press conferences, gaining the experience of working in a fast-paced sports media environment. Throughout the press conferences, I was able to interview personnel such as Tom Izzo, Dusty May, Yaxel Lendeborg, Robbie Avila and more. Furthermore, I took to MSU’s locker room after their Round of 32 victory over Saint Louis to interview Trey Fort — the Spartans’ sixth man — and document his journey from the NJCAA level to March Madness for a profile piece. At the conclusion of spring break, I ended with 11 published articles between both tournaments. You can view each and every one on my author profile, which is linked in my bio! These experiences mean the absolute world to me, and I am incredibly grateful to have received them! Can’t wait to see what the future has in store as I continue to carve my path in sports journalism. by @loganwmedia

1-on-1 with Nevada Smith 🏀 Earlier this week, I had the opportunity to sit down with first-year Siena men’s basketball head coach Nevada Smith. Fresh off an NCAA tournament appearance after a regular season where they posted their best winning percentage since 2020, the Saints are gearing up for the 2026-27 campaign with a new set of players, and a new face at the helm. Check out what Coach Smith had to say regarding the upcoming season! taken in MVP Arena by @loganwmedia

In 2003, Ed Gosek took to the helm of Oswego State men’s hockey. 23 years, seven Frozen Four appearances, five SUNYAC titles, one national championship and a retirement later, he left the program in better shape than he found it. “Eddie didn’t just coach hockey — he coached boys to become men,” Rick Pratt, an Oswego Athletic Hall of Fame inductee and current head of the Blue Line Club, stated. “Eddie always had the heartbeat of our team from day one, even as an assistant coach,” Mike Lukajic, a former Laker, added. As the fifth part of “The Gosek Era” series, read more at oswegonow.net, or by clicking the link in our bio.
