Not all masterpieces begin with a blank canvas.

Loman found inspiration in the streets of Dakar, where discarded metal, rusted iron, broken mirrors, bottle caps, and forgotten materials became symbols of possibility rather than waste. As a self-taught artist, she transformed recycled metal into intricate sculptures that merge painting with handcrafted steel, creating works that are as much about resilience as they are about beauty.

Every cut, weld, and layer reflects the rhythm of Dakar, its movement, its colour, its chaos, and its people. What others overlook, Loman reimagines. What was once discarded is given a new story.

This is more than art. It's a reminder that beauty isn't always created from something new. Sometimes, it's uncovered in what the world leaves behind.
