I'm really looking forward to this one!

Next Monday night, I'll be sitting down with Erin from @londonsprettycool to talk about Planet Of Sound Rock School, working with the next generation of musicians, and what it means to be part of London's music community.

One of the most rewarding things about starting Planet Of Sound has been getting to know so many incredible people who care about keeping music alive and giving younger musicians opportunities to learn, create, and be heard. I'm incredibly grateful to be part of that community and to have the chance to contribute to it.

We'll also have some live music from our buds @cant_drive_yet!

Come hang out, listen in, and say hello. We'd love to see you there.

🎸 How do we build the next generation of musicians?

Learning an instrument is just the beginning. Finding a band, playing your first show, meeting other musicians and finding your place in the local music scene are all part of the journey, too.

For our October Industry Night, we’re joined by Eric Longtin of Planet of Sound Rock School to talk about music mentorship, youth in music, and how we can create more opportunities for emerging musicians in London.

We’ll get into the business of teaching music, the importance of all-ages shows, why venues and promoters should consider booking younger bands, and how the entire music community can help the next generation find their footing.

Whether you’re a musician, music educator, venue owner, promoter, or simply someone who cares about London’s music scene, this conversation is for you. 🤘

THANK YOU to everyone that came out and celebrated with us. Thank you to Alayna and the TAP team for helping bring Shayna + Jeremy’s vision together.

To Victory for popping up with us, Rebel for always keeping everyone fed and looked after, and Ruby Doom and La Rent for filling the gallery with music.

THANK YOU to Erin from London’s Pretty Cool for guiding our conversation (and for being one of our FIRST vendors ever!), and to Jeremy and Alex for joining us on the panel and helping talk through ten years of art, music, and this thing that we keep building for the community.

And a HUGE thank you to TAP Centre for Creativity. You’ve been such good neighbours and friends to PRFM over the years, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place, or better people to help kick off our tenth anniversary weekend.

10 years of posters, making art for each other, and people showing up. It was the perfect way to start the weekend 🖤
