My new solo project @bluuushband has its first full band gig on June 18th with my old buddy Drew @smugmp3 @ohberlinohberlin and @samxpeco. Will not be playing pro wrestling tunes, all new stuff. Reference point for what my voice sounds like for the folks that don’t know.

Going through my laptop and found a music vid I made for @sunforger_band for their song ‘Fallen’. They didn’t end up using it but what the heck, enjoy a video from 2023!

From Spencer (Sunforger) at the time: “The main themes in that song are welcoming you into the world of your own creation (in my case, Sunforger world), and also about being prepared to admit when you are wrong.”

I took that description and came up with the idea of rebirth, death and recreation of one’s self. When you admit wrong’s you want to grow and change, and be a better version of yourself. I took that to the bones of it and represented that with nature. ‘Tis metal after all. by @movingfastslow

Rent Free Albums: three releases living in my head at full volume this week.

Promethean – Desire EP @prometheanband
Heavy, layered, and chaotic, this debut EP from the Toronto heavy-hitters tears through its runtime with raw urgency and calculated destruction.

Arthur – Daft @movingfastslow
Created in a single weekend by Patrick Briggs of MVLLCRIMES, Daft drifts through lo-fi beats that echo 90s hip hop, late-night study sessions, and a touch of dark romance.

Lemon Bucket Orkestra – Cuckoo @lemonbucketorkestra
A stark, raving-mad blast of brass, Balkan rhythms, and punk energy, Cuckoo captures the band’s frenetic, anarchic spirit with world-folk firepower and huge sonic swings.

“daft”

A new EP from my project ARTHUR. Available Now!

Made these tunes this past weekend and I really like em so I decided to get them off the laptop before they live there forever. I’m a lover of dance and hip-hop so here’s some of my takes on the genres. Beats that feature a few different influences but they all sound like me. Open invite to remix or add yer own vox!

Available on my Bandcamp page - just follow the link in my bio!

This is why we chose a life of crimes.

Thanks to everyone who came to the return of MVLL CRIMES last night. Playing @punkrockfleamarketlondon has been years in the making and we are so grateful for the love, support, and five star treatment Julie and Shayna have shown us. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ You never forget the promoters who feed you.

An honour and a privilege to play with @laughingonline @meringuesband and la formidable @dvtr.band

We are heading to Waterloo on Sunday for @longweekendbandcrawl before catching a breath to think about what we did.

Thanks to everyone who had a kind word and who sang along. Community is all that matters. We love you.

In conclusion, Free Palestine. by @movingfastslow

@mvllcrimes has returned with a new single! We wrote and recorded this a long time ago at this point. Super duper proud of it and the rest of the record we made. @vincesoliveri on producing/mixing/mastering duties and it’s ridiculous how good everything sounds. Got our boy @nathanstock1 destroying on the drums.

Wrote this today. You can probably tell from the lyrics I’m just a wee bit bothered by people and the current and seemingly never ending terrible state of the world. I normally try to find the silver linings in most situations but it’s getting harder and harder. Do these lyrics reflect on someone in your life? How you’re feeling? Let me know. by @movingfastslow
