Everyone has their own way of chasing down mature whitetails with a bow. Over and over, we keep hearing how it cannot—or should not—be done on early October mornings. Time and time again, though, I keep punching my tags on some of my biggest bucks on those very mornings and passing on other opportunities.

This one was no different. As a matter of fact, he was one of numerous bucks I saw strolling back to bed, eating acorns and freshening up sign along the way.

It comes down to doing your homework, knowing what’s going on, and understanding how to access your spot so you can get in clean. Unfortunately for this buck, I was already set up in my Lone Wolf Custom Gear stand with my Hoyt AX3, ready for the shot. Andrae D’Acquisto #huntlikeawolf🐺 by @lonewolf_arrowheads

Don’t miss this episode featuring @andraedacquisto on the @wearehuntr podcast! Andrae discusses how Whitetail Addictions began, the true premise behind the show, preparing for deer season, how much pressure a mature buck can handle, whether trail cameras are hurting your hunting, how to hunt moon phases, and much more.

If you know this whitetail addict, you know this episode won’t be low-energy. His addiction and excitement still shine through, even after decades of chasing big, mature whitetails with a bow! #lonewolfcustomgear #huntr #huntlikeawolf #hoyt by @lonewolf_arrowheads

We Remember.

Today marks 25 years since one of the darkest moments in American history.

Hold your loved ones a little longer, squeeze your kids a little tighter, remember those men and women who were lost.

Proudly All American. 🇺🇸

Today, we celebrate the 250th birthday of the greatest nation on Earth. Celebrate it with a magnitude so great that our Founding Fathers can feel it in their bones.

Fly the flag. Fire up the grill. Gather with family and friends. Be grateful for the freedoms we enjoy and remember the sacrifices that made them possible.

Happy 250th Birthday, America. Here’s to liberty, opportunity, and the red, white, and blue.

From All Of Us In The Lone Wolf Custom Gear family, Happy Fourth Of July!

It won’t be long. The miles of scouting will tell the story, the setup will play its part, and the arrow will write the ending.
