Yesterday was such a gorgeous day for Darcie and Jess to get hitched!! I adore these two. I consider it a blessing to have been able to watch their love grow through so much. Their attitudes and composure should truly be studied, because if they can bottle some of that chronically cool I would absolutely invest. When people say, I wish I had that kind of a friend group. Make it. Find truly kind people and invest in their highs and lows, show up for people who show up for you. There are far more people who could be your greatest friends for life if you just get out of your comfort zone a little and don't hide your weird!! The people I can be the gooberiest with are also the people who know my deepest fears and struggles. You have to be open for the full spectrum of sharing. Anyway, sharing these momentous occasions with some of my favorite people is simply the best! Congratulations to the gorgeous couple and their awesome family. 🫶 by @loninewby

Don't worry, Concert Wifeys have not retired, we are just poor and busy!! But, I am glad we were able to squeeze a couple of shows in at UAmp. Plus here's bonus Eagles content. I freaking love these people. We work hard and play hard, we love laughing together.
In other news, Brookie got a truck, she a big'un. So she is absolutely on cloud 9. Aidan is prepping for a campout this weekend. And I did something scary, I gave a lecture on Paranormal Investigation at USU Brigham City. Big stuff on the horizon! by @loninewby

The earth has made an entire trip around the Sun since the world lost Sam. There are moments in life that become to pivotal that there is distinctly a before and an after. For Brooklyn, this rings absolutely true of Sept. 29. Every milestone and life change has been without Sammy. Forever 15. We know all about weather and atmospheric reasons for beautiful sunsets, but Brookie and I thank Sammy for all the best sunset views as if she painted them herself, because we can bargain with reality that each is a gift from a dear friend. This year has been really hard for me as a mom. Seeing my child ache for her best friend and having to face the reality that one of the bonus kids who called me mom won't ever get to finish growing up. There have been times where I worried about whether or not my daughter would stay, and we have had a lot of needed conversations that required absolute trust and vulnerability. Sammy, you would be so proud of our Brookie. She dedicated herself to running for Peach Queen in a way that would honor you. She laid her heart out on the stage dancing through her pain. I know you would have loved it. Thank you for being the type of friend that encouraged weird. The one that finds comedy in every awkward moment. The friend that was absolutely cool with being silly and embracing and extending childhood. We made it through our first Peach Days without you and have now survived one year. Stick around, continue to be the guardian angel to these girls who loved you so much. I hope you are singing, dancing and making folks crack up in heaven-- check in often, ok? What a day and night!!! I am so pleased with the way that everything came together for a great day of family fun AND an evening of friends showing up for our Darcie! It has been a great honor to help bring this idea to fruition and raise money that will give Darcie and Jess the opportunity to make more memories for their family and focus on the days, weeks and months ahead. Our whole community came together to show love and support. My favorite part of the whole night was speaking with Darcie's former students who are early in their adult years and careers but gave so generously because of the impact Darcie had on them. It was great to have such generosity from the Box Elder Eagles truly demonstrating that we are people helping people, and the students and staff from Sunrise High School donating their time, talents and delicious baked goods and dinner. September has truly been a whirlwind. I caught the lost-Peach Days yuck so I haven't been accomplishing as much as I would like, but the kids are all kicking booty! Our friends and family have truly shown up for each other in so many ways. I am also so glad to be theough the county fair to Peach Days chaos!! by @loninewby

I just want to tell the practically grown up Brooklyn that little Brookie is sooo proud of her for being brave enough to compete in a pageant that we have attended together nearly all of her life. She looked up to so many of those girls over the years and tonight she gets to be one of them. As your mom, nothing matters more than getting to celebrate the confident, smart, beautiful and frankly hilarious young woman you have become. Big loves to you and to all the contestants who have dedicated so much time to preparing for this pageant and have become great friends along the way. Go get 'em Brookie! We have a really epic event planned for the last Saturday of the month (Sept. 26) in Brigham City. Get it on your calendars now!! 💚 It will be held at the Box Elder Eagles, but is open to the general public. (21+ with ID at 9pm.)

The whole day is Super Hero🦸‍♀️ themed because it is in honor of a teacher who has been a hero to many!

The Kid's Carnival is going to be good wholesome fun with games, arts and crafts, inflatables and a petting zoo. Come in costume for the costume contest at 5!

Dinner reservations are now open with the choice of loaded nachos or taco salad, all plates come with a bottle of water and a small dessert.

There will also be a "Heroes vs. Baddies" theme party for the grown ups that night with a live DJ! Dress up as your favorite hero or villain, or create your own character for the costume contest. Bring your best energy and out-tip each other for song requests or to stop playing a song, it is going to be a whole lot of fun!!

There will be raffles and a 50/50 drawing, too

We know times are tight but every donation makes a big difference.

WAYS YOU CAN HELP:
-Ask your place of work of they would be willing to donate a gift baskets for the raffle! Or consider

-Donate your time to help run a game, serve dinner, help with set up or take down.

-Sponsors a game or donate small prizes for carnival games.

-Bake something delicious for the Bake Sale! (Please label for nuts and other common allergens 🙏)

-If you can't make it to the event but are local to Northern Utah you can still purchase raffle tickets through Venmo! Message me for details!

-Anything else you can think of!!!

We are doing our best to make this a day full of celebration and fun, but the real goal is to be able to help relieve the financial burden that terminal cancer brings so that Darcie and Jess can focus on their family and making memories and having the best time together while they can! 🫶

Happiest birthday to the most reliable, sweetest, funniest gal! Concert wifey forever!! @madhairbymulysa is honestly one of the best people I have ever met, she makes my life better by being in it. It has been an unbearably hard year for her, but also it has been truly beautiful to watch her thrive in a healthy, happy relationship where she is finally being treated well!! I love that for her, it almost makes me want to date again...almost. I love our car talks and live music bond, we make an awesome pair for leading paranormal investigations, too. Basically, I love your face and am so glad my kiddos have you as one of their honorary aunties! Happy birthday love! by @loninewby

Back to back icons is a brutal reality. Tim Curry has been an absolute staple on my television screens. There was no scary scarier, there was no charm charmier, there was no silly sillier, there was no baddie baddier and there was no magnetism more confusing than the spectrum of appeal of Tim Curry characters. The theatre in me salutes the theatre in you, good sir. He didn't act, he embodied. And when his body misbehaved he still gave of himself to fans who so adored him. Rest well. by @loninewby

I am devastated that I never got to meet a true hero of mine, miss Dolly Parton. The amount of influence this woman held over my life and decisions is immeasurable. Her lore is rich and I also crafted many a head canon of my own, as a child I was certain that Sally Brown was Dolly's childhood and I was the only one smart enough to figure that out, besides Mr. Shulz, of course. Seeing her go beyond music and be an actress taught me that I never have to pick just one thing. Watching the way the she flawlessly disarmed people with truly witty retorts that far surpassed any insult slung. She was one of the wittiest, quickest humorists who just so happened to also be an award winning, best-selling artist with a catalog that spans decades. She was an OG Dopamine Dresser. She never shied away from sequins, glitter, big hair and a full face of makeup. Her very existence gave me the permission to be who I want to be and wear what I want to wear. Her ability to remove all of that and glide unseen through the world doing her own grocery shopping was also an art. The amount of philanthropic endeavors she invested in also speaks to me. The Little Imagination Library made a huge impact with monthly books for my kids when we lived in New Mexico. Truly, Dolly is an icon. I am wallowing in selfishness because I never got to shake her hand and say thank you for showing a little raggamuffin that she is the author/director/owner of her own future. When it comes down to it, I just want to say thank you out loud to the universe where her energy continues in the sparks of so many people's hearts. Dolly, you were one of a kind. 💗🥺🫶 by @loninewby

44 feels lucky! Let's do this thing!!! I have had a great lead up yo my birthday with banana ball and an insanely talented stand up comedian show, last night we stayed up to bring in my birthday like New Year's-- that is a lot of love!! Of course we missed a few but it was so nice to just have a low key hang around the fire, the rain and thunder brought some of my favorite things altogether for a magical night with no frills needed. I sure love my family and fram! Brookie spoiled me so much with a self-care basket and by making brunch. Aidan made dinner which was yummy! My parents brought over a gift and cake. I got to have a truly relaxing day today with lots of texts, messages and calls. I haven't even had a chance to read through all the well-wishes. Y'all certainly know how to make a girl feel good!! Thank you all for taking time to say something kind! I love you all! 🥰🫶 by @loninewby
