Update: follow us at @bear_the_fight

Original message:

The commissioners sat in front of us, read a pre-written script trying to convince us that this Data Center will be positive. Without studies. Without any further answers. Just a “Trust me Bro.”

They told us we had no voice. We pushed back as they read the same things they questioned last week with no updated info. They walked out of the room 7 minutes into the meeting after yelling at us to “grow up!”

The commissioners proceeded to read their verdict to us via projector screen while hiding from their own people in a back room. “Shame” is an understatement.

Thank you so much to all of the amazing people who showed up from all over Utah.

We don’t stop here. We will continue to fight this.

If you don’t know me, I’m Farrah. Utah realtor, RDN, CPT, a Mother, and part of the Box Elder community. I care immensely about our state and environment.

A 9 gigawatt data center and power plant is being proposed on about 40,000 acres in western Box Elder County, near the Great Salt Lake wetlands.

Backed by Kevin O’Leary and pushed in part through Military Installation Development Authority (MIDA.)

Commissioners delayed the vote after raising concerns and unanswered questions. Please show up and urge the commissioners to vote No.

Meeting:
Monday, May 4th, 4:00 PM
Box Elder County Fairgrounds Fine Arts Building, Tremonton

The Quest For My Athentic Self

In the stillness is where focus weaves its spell,
Far from the world's relentless yell,
Deep work calls— a silent bell,
Guiding us to where our true selves dwell.

Beneath the surface of daily strife,
Away from the unrest of everyday life,
Lies the path to our essence, rife
With the power to cut through noise like a knife.

With dedication, a transformation begins,
As we shed the layers of our external skins.
In the heart of silence, the soul wins,
Meeting its true self, where deep work pins.

In this sacred quiet, our spirits soar,
Finding what our hearts truly adore.
Deep work unveils the core
Of who we are, forevermore.

With each focused breath, I dive deeper still,
To a place where only my true self can fill.
Here, in the silence, I fulfill
a quest for authenticity, with a will.
