Women can't DJ. 🤡 #2021Review 😁 by @loopylexa

I was asked by a few people that don't collect records how they could support me in my move to NYC next week. In light of unexpected delays in the two records I have in the works, and without any blood family to lean on, I'm asking for a little help from my friends. It's crazy to think that just a year ago I was in one of the lowest mental and physical spaces of my life from extreme burnout after 2 decades in abusive & exploitative work environments... and that today this little girl from a working class background is on her way to living the fulfilling life of her dreams 🥹🧡 Thank you to all the friends who have dreamt and danced alongside me on this journey 💫 Anything helps, including a share! 🔗 in bio by @loopylexa

FRIDAY OCTOBER 16!

It’s gonna be a damn party celebrating 7 years of making something out of nothing on this corner while simultaneously serving Long Beach with some of the best records I’ve had my hands on. I’ve gotten to meet people I looked up to and turned them into friends in this place on top of experiencing life in such a unique way.

No other way to celebrate than to get down with my record shop crew at the Bamboo for the 3rd year in a row and it’s crazy to think that I was a stranger to 90% of this line up 7 years ago and now we are here all together ❤️‍🔥

9 p.m. on the dot with deejays
