Meet Andy, the man of many interests and many titles: barber, barista, sound guy, yogi, sports guy, fisherman, Pokémon master, husband to Madi, Frenchie dad, and most importantly… Uncle.

We asked Andy a few questions, and here’s what he had to say.

Billy was the one who got him into coffee. Before that, Andy pretty much thought coffee was just something old construction workers drank all day to survive. Then came an @anaya_coffee sweet cream cold brew, venturing into a few coffee shops, and a trip to @valor.coffee , that led to the realization that coffee is really about the feeling around it, mornings, vacations, after dinner, long workdays, and all the little moments in between.

When we asked what he’s most excited about with Okay*, he said:

“Coming in early, staying late, making a great cup of coffee, and being part of a space that feels fun, productive, and welcoming.”

“We’re not perfect. We’re a hardworking, family-oriented, open-minded crew that genuinely wants to give you a great cup of coffee and maybe make your day a little better while we’re at it.”

Come see Andy sometime for some below average sports talk, slightly above par latte art, and an okay* cup of coffee

We’re SO close. Like… actually almost-open close.

We’re launching our Okay* Coffee community crowdfunding page, but we want to be clear about what this really is.

Honestly, it’s mostly a chance to get your hands on some Okay* merch, special events, and offers before we even release it in the shop.

And yes, it helps us too.

Opening a coffee shop from the ground up is WILDLY expensive and while we’re opening these doors either way, every bit of support helps us finish those last details, takes a little pressure off our pockets, and lets you be part of bringing this place to life.

You get some cool stuff.
We get a little help crossing the finish line.
And together, we get to build the kind of coffee shop we’ve been talking about since day one.

If you can grab some merch and events, amazing.
If you can share the page, just as amazing.
If you can do both… we freaking love you.

We’ve heard you loud and clear, Melbourne wants great coffee and great community.

So let’s make it happen.
