Epic European Expedition....is what we titled this amazing trip of a lifetime.

We started out just booking a 10 day cruise for mine and Emily’s 40th birthdays. But as it so often does, someone said “Since we are already over there....” and it quickly snowballed into a nearly month long wild adventure.

This post is a very very small summary with a couple pictures from each stop. We conquered 10 countries in 23 days. I will be adding big albums later with all the adventures but here are the highlights for everyone wanting the CliffNotes version.

June 29-NYC (Central Park, Times Square)
June 30-NYC Night flight to Iceland (9/11, Statue of Liberty)
July 1-Reykjavik, Iceland. (Midnight 4 wheeler ride)

July 18 Zermatt, Switzerland (Glacier Train ride thru the Alps)

Little did I know when I met Jules 15 years ago (or something like that) that she would be such a big part of my life. Little did we know what life had in store.

Thank you for your insane friendship. I know when God had our paths cross so many years ago He laughed and said “this should be interesting”. And I hope people always continue to say “what are they up to now?” Cheers to many many many many more shenanigans! Love you!!! by @lori.sparkman

The one and only... Dolly Parton.

The world lost an icon yesterday. But more than that, we lost a beautiful soul whose kindness, generosity, and unwavering goodness touched millions of lives.

Dolly showed us that your circumstances don’t define you. She dreamed boldly, worked tirelessly, and used every bit of her success to lift others up. She built a legacy of love, acceptance, compassion, and doing the right thing simply because it was the right thing to do. And somehow, she reminded us that you can do all of that while wearing rhinestones and a smile.

Maybe that’s one of the greatest lessons she leaves us with: don’t wait for a special occasion to wear your sparkles. Shine your light. Be generous. Be joyful. Be unapologetically yourself.

My parents always taught me, “Leave it better than how you found it.” Dolly lived those words every single day. Through her music, her philanthropy, her imagination, and her heart, she left this world so much better than she found it.

Thank you, Dolly, for showing us what grace, grit, and generosity look like. You will be deeply missed, but your light will continue to shine through every person you inspired to love a little bigger and dream a little bolder.

A little life update coming at ya!

I’m incredibly honored and excited to share that I’ve joined the Board of Directors for i-LIVE to Work, Play & Dream.

Having been involved with this organization for many years already and seeing the insane difference it makes, I’m beyond humbled to have been asked to join such an inspiring group of women. They are passionate about creating meaningful change in our community. Together, we’ll help further i-LIVE’s mission of breaking down barriers and creating opportunities for individuals with disabilities to work, play, and dream without limitations.

Every person deserves the chance to thrive, and I’m excited to be part of an organization that is providing inclusive therapy programs, financial support, and life-changing community experiences for children and adults with disabilities.

One of my first opportunities to serve will be helping with our Boots & BBQ fundraiser on October 23rd. Over the next few months, I’ll be reaching out to local businesses and friends to gather silent auction items and event sponsors. If you own a business, know someone who would love to support this incredible mission, or would like to donate an item or become a sponsor, please reach out.

I can’t wait to see what we accomplish together. Here’s to making a difference one dream, one family, and one community at a time. 💙

Soooooo this was cool….😎

The Matthew McConaughey at @arkmfa with @arkansascinema! @invitingar was able to get me red carpet access. I was first in the photo line so the guy in charge said “Look at Lori first”…he said “hey Lori”…I about died. I tried to remain cool calm and collected like a true professional but I may have fangirled just a bit.
