Encouragement wires the brain for resilience.
Harsh criticism wires it for shame.
Over time, that voice becomes automatic.
It speaks during failure.
It speaks during risk.
It speaks when no one else is around.

The beautiful truth is this:
Neuroplasticity allows that voice to change.
Even in adulthood.
Neurotherapy allows us to target the area of the brain where our inner critic is embedded. It allows us a chance to retrain it. by @lorieezell

Last weekend was full of all the emotions! We had a Celebration of Life for my oh so dear friend Barbara Burks! She has and will continue to be an example of what kind of friend and mom I want to be! I am so thankful God saw it fit for me to have her as a friend! Then, Adam’s best friend Eli got married to his Madison Douglas Way! It was a sweet sweet time to watch Eli get married to the love of his life! Eli’s mom Susan Way would be so proud. So thankful for his Aunt Karen who loves him so well! Oh, and I got to see my boy! by @lorieezell

In the world of Neuroscience we call it, “Rumination.” You may use terms like:

• Dwelling
• Obsessing
• Overanalyzing
• Fixation
• Worrying
• Stewing
• Rehashing

We hear these words used by clients who are frustrated with themselves for not being able to “get over it.” Whatever the “it” may be.

Rumination is caused by irregular frequencies in brainwaves. Yes. There is a scientific reason for certain times when we become hyperfixated on an experience.
Neurotherapy is an evidence based treatment for rumination that allows the brain and nervous system to process and integrate the things that currently occupy your head space and keep you awake at night.
