Cannabis for grief relief…yes please! Happy 420 my friends.

I joined the 420 Club early in my travels through grief as a way to alleviate the overwhelming suffering I was enduring. Unable to drink and unwilling to use daily anti-depressants, marijuana became my plant medicine of choice.

It calmed my mind, eased my pain, and made the journey a bit more manageable.

From watching this deeply moving symposium online - to sitting in the audience - to becoming a producer of the show — it has become another meaningful chapter in my journey.

I started my career in production, but everything paused when my world shattered after the death of my dear husband Joe. Grief consumed me.

But sometimes from tragedy, art blooms.

After Joe’s diagnosis, I did the predictable but not necessarily smart thing to do, I went straight to the internet and searched the words “pancreatic cancer.”

Endless streams of information…a stupid and devastating move.
