Hi friends!

We have some news here at The Death Deck. As many of you know, The Death Deck was founded by @lorilocicero and I in 2018.

Effective this year, I am now the Owner and CEO of The Death Deck, while Lori has new and exciting endeavors to focus on (more below).

I’m so very proud of what Lori and I have built together with The Death Deck. We began this business with a desire to help make difficult conversations easier and to see that come to fruition has been amazing.

I’m very excited about what the future holds for us both. The Death Deck will continue to provide engaging games (with just the right amount of humor) along with community education utilizing my expertise as an end-of-life professional. In exciting news, we will be expanding to include a new deck soon!

Here’s Lori to share her exciting news:

It’s been a while since I’ve posted, and you may have noticed Lisa leading the charge — with good reason. Last year was an incredible one for me. As some of you know, I also write and produce, and both paths have been filled with exciting projects.

First, I was one of the producers of End Well 2024! It was an amazing experience helping to shape the day into an incredible production.

Second, I’m so excited to share that my memoir, Clouds Far Behind Me, is finally launching on April 7th. The book follows my life during the year my husband Joe fought pancreatic cancer and the two years that followed after his death.

With my book, writing, and production work as my primary focus, I have proudly handed over the full reins to Lisa, who is now the CEO and owner of The Death Deck. It’s been an incredible experience working together to bring these important tools into the world.

If you’d like to order Clouds Far Behind Me, it’s available for pre-order (link in bio) Your support (and hopefully reviews!) mean the world to me. Thank you for all your kind words throughout the years.

With love and gratitude,
Lori
