2016 → 2026.

Sometimes I look at the woman I was ten years ago and wish I could sit with her for just a moment.

I wouldn’t tell her everything that was coming. The people she would meet. The people she would lose. The places she would call home. The businesses she would build. The heartbreaks, the beginnings, the endings and all the times she would have to start again.

I’d just tell her: trust yourself. You’re going to become someone you can’t even imagine yet.

2016 me was ambitious, determined and always chasing the next thing. She wanted to build a big life and prove that she could do it.

2026 me still wants a big life. But my definition of “big” has changed.

I don’t just want success. I want purpose.
I don’t want to simply be busy. I want my time to mean something.
I don’t want to prove myself anymore. I want to know myself.

Over these ten years, I’ve learned that not everything needs a reaction. Not every relationship needs to be saved. Not every door needs to be forced open. And not everyone needs to understand me.

I’ve outgrown people, places, dreams and versions of myself I once thought would be part of my life forever.

And perhaps that has been the biggest lesson of all: sometimes losing what you thought you needed is exactly how you find yourself.

I’m softer now. More grounded. More protective of my energy. And far more trusting of my own intuition.

When I look back at everything I’ve built over the last decade, I realise the thing I’m most proud of isn’t a business, a career, a reputation or a life that looks good from the outside.

And suddenly it’s the end of September, and you realise just how much your life has changed since this time last year. 🤍

A few beautiful days spent between La Motte and Boschendal, back in a part of the world that will always hold such a special place in my heart.🥹

I’ve been craving nature so much lately. Space. Mountains. Trees. Quiet. That feeling of being grounded and completely present in where you are.🌱

And somehow, this little trip gave me all of that and so much more.🙏🏼

Beautiful places. Beautiful food. Time with an old friend and family. Slow mornings. Long walks. Fresh air. And those little moments where you catch yourself thinking, wow… my life really looks different now.🙏🏼

Not necessarily because everything around me has changed, but because I have.

September, you were a beautiful reminder of how much can change in a year. 🌿🤍

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about what it means to feel at home in yourself.

For me, it’s been about feeling comfortable in my skin again. Confident in my body, yes, but more than that, feeling safe and settled within myself.

I’ve spent so much time carrying things, pushing through, holding everything together and probably expecting far too much from myself.

So this season has been about letting some of that go. Learning to feel safe in my own body again. Listening to what it needs. Slowing down when I need to. Allowing myself to just be, without always feeling like I need to be doing, fixing or becoming something.

And strangely, the less I carry, the more I feel like myself.

Maybe healing isn’t always about becoming someone new.

Maybe sometimes it’s simply about coming home to yourself. 🖤🌹

WORLD ENTREPRENEURS DAY 🤍

The longer I am an entrepreneur, the less I believe the journey is only about building a business.

I think it is also about becoming.

Becoming more courageous in your decisions.
More discerning about what deserves your energy.
More comfortable with saying no.
More willing to trust yourself.
More intentional about the people you surround yourself with.
And sometimes, becoming soft enough to realise you don’t have to carry everything on your own.

Entrepreneurship has been one of the greatest spiritual teachers of my life.

It has challenged my ego, tested my resilience, stretched my faith in myself and forced me to look at parts of who I am that no business plan could ever prepare me for.

And after more than 15 years in this industry, my idea of success is changing.

I am less interested in proving how much I can do.

I am more interested in what I can build that actually matters.

I want to build community.

I want to bring women together and create spaces where we feel seen, heard, supported and celebrated.

I want to open doors, share knowledge, make introductions and create opportunities where I can.

I want to work with people who believe that kindness and ambition can coexist, that another person’s success does not threaten our own, and that there is enough space for all of us to grow.

And I want to build a business where the relationships we create matter just as much as the campaigns we deliver.

Perhaps that is what entrepreneurship has ultimately taught me:

You can spend your life building something impressive, or you can build something meaningful.

In this next chapter of @elveeconsultancy.co, I know which one I am choosing. 🤍

Here’s to building with more heart, more intention, more connection and a lot more humanity.

I am Divinely guided.

Seven years ago today, I landed in Paris for a solo weekend that quietly changed my life.

No itinerary filled with other people. No distractions. Just me, an e-bike, streets I had never wandered before, long lunches at my favourite cafés, and hours spent getting wonderfully lost in neighbourhoods that slowly felt like home.

Some of these photos have never been shared before, but the lessons from that weekend have stayed with me ever since.

There is something deeply transformative about learning to enjoy your own company.

Take yourself to lunch.
Take yourself on dates.
Travel alone.
Sleep alone.
Sit with your own thoughts.

Because it is in those quiet moments that you begin to meet yourself.

You discover what inspires you. What brings you peace. What you believe. What dreams are truly yours, separate from everyone else’s expectations. You begin to build a life that feels like home from the inside out.

Self-discovery isn’t a destination. It’s one of the greatest adventures you’ll ever take.
