48 hours in New York, full of love, joy, soca music to celebrate @nikkicrosby868 big birthday. We both needed to dip into our community, dance to soca music, be overwhelmed by the sheer magic of New York City.

From dinner at the Grande Brasserie at Grand Central station to @machelmontano in Central Park Summmerstage to burning our eyes at the stores on 5th Ave, lighting a candle at St Patrick’s cathedral, and even brunching with the family!

It was all central and very intoxicating.

Spending 48 hours with my sister Ruth in the South of France was a dream we had been planning for months. Short, intense, lots of laughter and adventure. She insisted we eat the best food and go on a trip down memory lane.
From the lavender fields to @la_bastide_de_moustiers
From the beach at Cagnes sur Mer where @bas.islove joined us to spending the night at the charming Hotel L’Abbaye at La Colle sur Loup
We appreciated every minute and plan to do this more often!

Feels surreal that 2 weeks ago I was in the heart of Provence, with an incredible group of people from around the world. Loved every minute of it! Learnt so much, still trying to assimilate. Feeling blessed and grateful, also proud that I seized the opportunity and made it happen. Brave to have traveled solo and humbled by the discoveries made.

Getting older or wiser
Six decades plus is already quite a life
I am blessed to have had so many adventures
To have traveled across the world
Changed careers many times
Birthed three extraordinary children
Met my soul mate and claimed that love
I have produced and managed businesses, events, people, artists, films
Yes I feel I still have more to accomplish!
My 6 year old self would be in awe

Being called “moms” is that an endearment
or a sign that I need to stay in my lane
Like I am “Far from Finished”
Usually at this age, most sexagenarians (awful word)
are rocking back while rocking grands
and planning family trips and holidays.
I have no grand children and I am planning solo trips
I am still working a full time job
And busy being an entrepreneur, with my line of aromatherapy
Always grabbing an opportunity to learn something new
Is it that I am not ready for “retirement”?
Seems such a daunting word
Its not that I wouldn’t know what to do with my time
I have a long list for when that time reaches
When do we know its THE time?
While I figure that out
I am going to continue to show up
To show off and to produce
Embracing my Caribbean identity

Exciting weekend @miamiswimweekshows
Went to see the golden child @achsahhenry walk with @lilanikole
And she shone 🤩 who better to model the Carnival costume?
Felt like a queen myself in the beautiful hand dyed silk @lisafayesilks
The Miami sunset joined the party so I played with AI for that first photo as I had to put that dress in front of that sunset.

My partner for the weekend @jcruicky18 helped with the photos and videos.

The second show @tequilatownmiami was so much fun, the venue was unique, the Brazilian drummers brought the energy and the fashion 🔥
