Home session of “Girl Missing” — starring @dandydeniz on that gorgeous 12-string, @loselbo on a guitar with ancient strings (which he swears sounded best), and me on my Martin D18 — the guitar I saved up for through three years of babysitting in Switzerland. We're touring the album very soon, tickets via albertinesarges.com by @loselbo

🎧🎧🎧 Behind the scenes of X Factor, Europop, Brexit, and Fiat Panda’s: A Talk with @ostiaofficial

This week on Moody Monday, we get personale with Ostia. In this episode, we talk with Sebastian Eppner and Albertine Sarges of the band @ostiaofficial about everything from the power of Duolingo and song lyrics, X Factor nightmares, the long-term effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the DIY music scene, the significance of creating an “Europop” album in post Brexit times, and why their band that was once known as Itaca became Ostia.

To listen to the full podcast episode head to our Moody Monday #linkinbio

Plus, to be in the running 🏃🏻‍♀️ to win a free GL to Ostia’s “Europop” album release show at @lark.berlin on 09.10, be the first to leave a comment with the correct answer to what the band name Ostia means! 🎟️🎟️🎟️🎟️

The band name Ostia means…

A) the bread used during the Holy Communion, which represents the body of Christ in the ritual. The word comes from the Latin “hostia,” meaning “sacrificial victim” or “offering.”

B) The ancient town in Italy, Ostia Antica, which was the harbor city of ancient Rome.

C) A slang term used in some latin-speaking countries, often used as an expletive or expression of surprise, frustration, or anger, like “damn!” or “wow!”

Stand Near Your Fire - full length video is OUT Now 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you @maxhilsamer (DOP/Colour) and @loselbo (Edit/Effects/Direction) for pulling it off once again!! Making music videos is a fantastic but incredibly demanding, bodily and physical work, and it is expensive and often underpaid (even when, in this case, funded by @musicboardberlin ). This means the people involved are real passioneers and friends of this band and I'm so greatful for this crew that has been on the Albertine adventure for more than 3 years now!
Thanks to @vvrrong for styling help and assisting on set, thanks @rosa__mercedes and @lisabaey for being as zesty and just awfully nice humans, who's fire I want to stand near of!!! And @moshimoshimusic and @a_okay_mgmt for being our supportive mothership ♥️

✨✨✨EUROPOP✨✨✨

Many know @bowsertattoos for her skin art, but not everyone knows she's also a licensed Bob Ross painter. We asked her to paint a little Fiat Panda for our album cover. As a hint to our love for the 80's and Italy, it rushes through the dark Alps with its fierce headlights. This album is full of stories and vibes that we picked up on our tours through Italy. Be it Karma Algoritmo, with the triumphant anti-vibes of the squats we played. Be it our cover from Matia Bazar's Vacanze Romane, about the eternal city of Rome in all its ugliness and beauty. Be it the story of Italy-German boxer legend Graciano Rocchigiani and how the sky burned above him. A favorite is Tonight, where a tender Trans-Europa Express becomes the means of exploring not only geographical but also personal territory.

We hope you enjoy listening to this music and the beautiful album artwork as much as we do!

"Tonight (fammi sapere)" is out today via @intrntexplrr. It's a love song between East and West Berlin, between north and south of the alps, its a wish to overcome differences with curiosity and tenderness. Thanks @jungstoetter for the italian backing choir and @manuelchittka for additional percussion. LINK IN BIO.
