All in time…

I was able to get Sammy squirrely clean today, and the stars aligned with this sunset. Only a few more small details left and he’s finished. Here’s a rundown on how the whole project went from start to finish. Found on FB market place, bought a one way plane ticket to Arizona one day after. Figured out it really had 230k+ miles, not 130k, flew to AZ anyway. I kicked all 4 tires and figured it was good to drive back the same day. Got it back to the squirrel compound without a hitch. Proceeded to give it a full tune up with a new cooling system, ignition system, valve adjustment, all new vacuum lines, air filter, ac system, alternator, fresh powder coated wheels, shocks, idler arm, cv axles, brake pads, all fluids, dash, gauge cluster (with corrected mileage), oil pressure sending unit, front bumper, windshield, smog, weight, alignment, oem clock, oem radio, wash, wax, motor detail, undercarriage detail and probably a hand full of other things. Took him to the Long Beach port for the shoot, and snagged a margarita after 🥂. Well I made it back to Long Beach. As much as I would have liked to post, I didn’t lol. Cell phone reception was non existent and to be frank I didn’t care to. There was so much to take in I was just enjoying the moment. So just a few tid bit’s about this trip. I planned this a few months back to witness the eclipse passing through the south eastern corner of Utah, a place I’ve been wanting to visit for years. I just hadn’t really picked an exact location due to all the amazing scenery all through out that part of the country. About a week ago I finally decided and it was magical to say the least. The first photo is from my camp site and I couldn’t have hoped for more. On my way home I decided to stop at the Grand Canyon because the last and first time I had gone I got pushed out by a wildfire after just a few hrs of being there. The Grand Canyon is such an amazing place and this particular spot is unmatched for sheer wow factor. Enjoy some of my favorite stills from this weekend. I have so many more I’ll be putting up on my story and hopefully I’ll actually edit a reel together to share some videos I took too 🤷🏻‍♂️ oh an swipe to the last photo to see a bit of the eclipse taken in Somewhere Outside by @lost.nut_

I’m a big turd and a old fart so I’ve been told. Maybe the reason I hardly post. Well I’ll be heading out on the road this weekend and hopefully be sharing a bit more than usual. I’ve been planning this trip for months and been waiting for a few years for this opportunity. Hopefully the planning and waiting will result in some photography that I’ve been wanting to produce for some time now. I originally purchased Lady to advance my nature photography, needless to say I think she has succeeded. These are a select few photos over the past couple years that I have loved. Let’s see if I can add one more this weekend 📸 by @lost.nut_

We preach preventative maintenance day in and day out. But sometimes your best efforts to remove a breakdown from the variables of your trip is to no avail. Luckily Wilson got us safely home from our trip last week before letting his igniter fail on V. Just remember if your stuck in the middle of nowhere and your rig isn’t starting up there are a few things to check. With a minimal tool kit in your vehicle you can check all of these things.
(1) Check engine lights
(2) Fuses
(3) Battery / terminals
(4) Fuel
(5) Air Meter
(6) Vacuum lines
(7) Spark
