Trying to show up for myself a bit more in the midst of my chaos.

My days are so busy 🥲 between driving from baby classes to school pick ups; making breakfast, lunch boxes and dinners, ECA’s and play dates; I’ve lost time for myself somewhere in between and I’ll be honest, I’m struggling with being able to be a good Mum, Wife, friend and have time for me too.

So I’m trying to prioritize finding 30 minutes a day doing something for myself whether that’s my reformer session once a week; going for a walk now the weather is getting cooler; or just spending 30 minutes in the pool (what a luxury to have, I know). And I am slowly starting to feel more like myself.

I do miss the days where I could go for a beach day alone with a book but that’s just not my life right now so I am trying to find things I can fit in my busy schedule and that started with a massage and blow dry at the gorgeous @havieandmoon salon - the post massage glow was real 🧘🏼‍♀️

I then ate my lunch in the car on the way to school pick up 🤣💁🏼‍♀️

I’m feeling a bit burnt out with social media at the minute and I don’t know if anyone else can relate to this…

I don’t want to be a walking advert.

I love working with brands that I would genuinely recommend to a friend and whose products I really value and use for my own family. But because as I mentioned, I’m struggling with inspiration for my own content, I don’t want my page to just become one big advertisement.

Is anyone else feeling the same? 😩😅

What do you mean the twins are 18 months old, I literally just birthed them 🥺

I cannot believe how fast the time has gone 😭

People keep asking me if it’s getting easier now… it’s just getting different 🤣🤣

How is it possible to be so emotionally attached to baby gear 🤣

The twins have now outgrown their @doonamiddleeast and I feel like this is just another milestone and yet another piece of baby gear that we no longer need 😭

Four holidays back to the UK, one to Portugal and so many memories made along the way. I feel so emotional packing them away for the last time.

I booked in the Gear Refresh with @mumzworld as they offer a professional, deep cleaning service for strollers and car seats, using baby safe cleaning products. You can book via the app and use code LOUEXTRA to save up to AED50 on the service!

The Doona’s are now ready to be passed on to the next families to make memories in 😭

First day of FS2 for our Arlo, we love you so much 🤍

I wrote this last night when I couldn’t sleep.

The summer holidays are over,
I’ve somehow wished the days away.
Your lunchbox is packed, the alarm goes off,
“It’s time to wake up for school”, I quietly say.

You eat your breakfast, put on your uniform
You need less help than you did before,
A quick picture with your new shoes on,
Then you’re running out the door.

We drive the normal route to school,
There’s familiarity, it’s not totally new.
You’ve walked these corridors, played in these classrooms,
You’re going back for FS2.

I can tell you’re so excited to meet your teacher and make new friends
I can’t wait to hear all about it,
As soon as your day ends.

You’re not the youngest in the school anymore
But you’re still so little to me
I’m so proud of how far you’ve come,
And everything you’re going to be.

The reminder I really needed this morning…

It’s so easy to get wrapped up in the need to make every day of the summer holiday feel special. I’ve made myself feel guilty on days where Arlo has gone to summer camp, or if we’ve not really had any plans… when in reality, it really doesn’t matter.

“Mummy, you know my favorite thing from this whole summer was when we watched the G.O.A.T film” 😅😅
