Polvo a dar com pau, as our friends would say 🇵🇹

What a pleasure it was to be part again of @chefsonfire.pt! And this was for sure the most intense edition we ever cooked at, getting sold out before the end of the day!

To our friends, customers, new friends, and everyone who came by, really thank you for braving the never-ending lines and for trying our octopus shawarma. Now, we’ll just keep doing what we know, and doing it well.

Louise is on fire! @chefsonfire

This Sunday find our chef @louisebourrat making flames for another edition of Chefs On Fire, the biggest (and coolest) open-fire cooking festival on Europe.

We are bringing a banging octopus kebab with a tangy tomato salad and fiery rayu to the party.

Este domingo, encontra a nossa chef @louisebourrat a fazer magia com o fogo em mais uma edição do Chefs On Fire, o maior (e mais cool) festival de cozinha a fogo de lenha da Europa.

Vamos levar para a festa um kebab de polvo de arromba, acompanhado por uma salada de tomate bem ácida, e um rayu bem picante.

Encontramo-nos algures no meio da floresta. 🌳🦄

O @gancho.lx estava a ficar um pouco apertado, então quando a @mammarua__ mostrou o seu encanto naquela rua de Penha de França, não conseguimos resistir. Dois espaços, dois estilos, duas vibes. O mesmo amor.

Obrigada a todos que nos visitaram até agora. Estamos prontos para vos receber! Reservas abertas.

The last few weeks have been really, really intense. So intense, in fact, that I barely had a moment to share how things were going with the new restaurant.
Opening another restaurant turned out to be harder than we expected. For a while, it felt like @markkolyn and I had been hit by a tsunami and were just trying to get our heads back above water. Power outages, heatwaves, endless bank holidays delaying deliveries... there was always something popping that would mess with our already overloaded schedule.
And what looks like a calm, nurturing little house from the outside has often felt more like a metal concert behind the curtains.

But little by little, things are settling. We’re finding our rhythm. The feedback has been incredible, and the support we’ve received has honestly taken us by surprise. Friends, colleagues, neighbours, fellow hospitality people, and guests have shown up for us in ways we never expected.

We built @mammarua__ to be a neighborhood restaurant, a local hangout where you will always find familiar faces and food that taste like nostalgia. And it is so heartwarming to see a vision coming to life on this little corner of Lisboa.

Thank you to everyone that showed up already for our soft opening, we truly were not expecting so many of you visiting while we barely communicated about it, and sorry for those who showed up on days we had to close because we were litteraly out of food..
