Yesterday the Globe had another great cartoon. Good thing Canadians have a great sense of humour that helps us deal with the circus to the south. by @louisescottbushell

"CHAOS" is the title of this painting that i made earlier this year. It features the disintegration of the USA. THOSE ARE BULLETS INSTEAD OF STARS. when I think of the usa, I think of mass killings by all those freesdom lovers who tote their guns. It's a sick society that has lead it to this point. Trump is a delusional moron with no ethics. The America that elected him is the same. by @louisescottbushell

This editorial in today's Globe and Mail saddens and horrifies me. Our Canadian citizens should feel safe and valued no matter their race or religion. Its time for universities and colleges to ensure the safety of all students and staff. Jewish Canadians are not responsible for Israel's behaviour. by @louisescottbushell

Today there is the simple joy of making bouquets from my garden. I originally purchased this perennial at a church sale. It grows in sunshine and shade from early July through late September. by @louisescottbushell

I confess that I've never cooked beets except for in an international cooking course that I attended with a couple of friends in the 70s. In my late 70s now, I decided to rectify this situation.
My joy today is to make icey cold beet borscht using a recipe from Bonnie and Anna's cookbook. I'll let you know how it's received. Radiation has affected my taste buds and food has lost some of its appeal but I still like to try different recipes. by @louisescottbushell

Today i took my puppy to Rattray marsh for a lovely walk along lake Ontario. This place is my favourite spot in the city. I took hundreds of reference photos for future paintings. It was a lovely morning to start our day. by @louisescottbushell

Remembering my grandmother Arianwen Richards today on her birthday, born 1896. She was an amazing strong and loving women. Her favourite flowers were Lily of the valley. The older that I get the more I wish that we could have some wonderful conversations. by @louisescottbushell
