A day filled with mixed emotions. It’s hard to believe 15 years ago we welcomed this little fluff ball into our home and hearts. 💞

365 days without our precious Lovable Lucy. Some tearful, sad and heartbreaking but every day we remember the joy and laughter Lucy brought to our family.

The love our four legged companions give us is immeasurable beyond words. And the grief we experience when they die is real and raw.

Join our family today in remembering this darling soul that was Lucy.

We are grateful her legacy of kindness and compassion lives on in the @lovablelucyseries she inspired.

I will be sharing more reflections on the grief of pet loss in the new year. For now thank you again for this amazing community of dog love.

14 years ago today we welcomed @lovablelucy_cavapoo into her forever family. Little did we know then how much this little fluff ball of love, curiosity, and playfulness would change our home and hearts forever.

Sadly, this week also marks six long, heartbreaking months without our sweet girl. It seems only fitting that today (and this week) BookMates of Southern New Jersey, in cooperation with the @camdencountypd handed out copies of @lovablelucyseries books, spreading her legacy of love, friendship and kindness to children in Camden, NJ public schools.

We love you Lucy and miss you beyond words. Every. Single. Day.

It’s been one month since our sweet, precious @lovablelucy_cavapoo crossed the Rainbow Bridge. 🌈🌈

Grief from the loss of a pet is as raw and painful 💔 as the loss of one of our beloved humans. The mourning is real.

Every day we honor Lucy’s legacy by giving kindness to others. And instead of tail wags we smile 😊 or wave to brighten someone else’s day.

Last evening our precious 💖 Lucy 💖 passed away, surrounded by her family. Before her passing, Lucy’s Mommy read every heartfelt comment from her IG friends and family. This brought Lucy and her family comfort in her final hours.

From the moment we brought Lucy home, she became the heart and soul of our family. She made us laugh every day, filling our lives with endless joy and companionship. Best of all, Lucy taught us how to be better humans and how to love each other more.

Lucy had the biggest heart. ❤️ With her darling demeanor, tail wagging and expressive eyes, Lovable Lucy made friends and spread happiness, bringing smiles to every person she met on her daily walks.

She was the bright star 🌟 in our family. We wished we’d had more time together. We will miss her cuddles, her snuggles, her jingles and tail wags greeting us as we come through the door. There will forever remain a hole in our hearts where she once lived.

We love you sweet Lucy for always and forever. 💕💞
