Last 3 tournaments have been a grind. A lot of good matches, some tough losses, and plenty to build on.

📍 PPA Challenger — Wisconsin
Singles didn’t go the way I wanted, but bounced back in men’s doubles with @vrettke3 and made a run to the Round of 16. Definitely some positives to take away from this one.

📍 PDC Draft Cup
One of the most interesting team events I’ve played. Finished with Bronze after losing an insane 22–20 DreamBreaker. We played 4 DreamBreakers throughout the tournament and went 3–1 in them.

Had a great squad with @parthmody23, @mgrgan.pb, and @mikey10is, and a big shoutout to @juanovaron7 for putting the event together.

📍 Brickwall
Another weekend of battling. Made the Round of 16 in Men’s, where we lost to the eventual 2nd-place team, and made the Quarterfinals in Mixed, losing to the eventual champions.
Thank you @aaron1allen and @frances_altick for playing with me.

Three tournaments. Three completely different experiences. Some results I’m proud of and some that left me wanting more. Either way, I’m getting more comfortable competing at this level and learning every time I step on court.

Thank you to @zyiaactive for keeping me geared up with clothing throughout these tournaments. Always grateful for the continued support and for having you in my corner.

Huge thank you to @thehealthypickleballer for all the work behind the scenes helping me stay ready to compete. A lot of work happens long before I step on the court, and I appreciate everything you do.

Aggressive vs. defensive dinking

One player is applying pressure with aggressive topspin dinks while the other works on defending with slice, holding the kitchen line, and taking balls out of the air whenever possible.

A simple drill that works both sides of the point—creating pressure and learning how to handle it.

Beautiful private court at @pickleballdropshop where you can try a variety of demo paddles and rent out the court for your own private games and coaching sessions! taken in Pickleball Drop Shop by @lovam30940

SINGLES TIP

When your opponent gives you a bad return, attack THROUGH THE MIDDLE.

A lot of players immediately look for the passing shot down the line or cross court. But when your opponent hits a weak return, they're already under pressure and trying to recover.

By driving the ball hard through the middle, you force them to GUESS which side you're going to.

If they guess wrong, you have a clean winner.

If they guess right, you've still hit to a high-percentage target and can look to finish the next ball.

You don't always need to hit the perfect angle.

Make them guess.

Sorry @alex_aliscio. Got you back for the 20 times you bagged me in the last games 😂

What a week.

I came down to Florida hoping to improve my game, and I'm heading home with a lot more than that. I learned a ton, met some incredible people, and got to spend time around players who push you to be better every single day. This definitely won't be my last trip down here. I'll be back more often.

A huge thank you to @rylerdeheart Thank you for taking the time to help me, answer my questions, and share so much knowledge. You're not just an amazing coach, you're an even better person. I can't tell you how much I appreciate your willingness to help, and I'm excited to keep working on everything we talked about.

Shoutout to @playthefort for having one of the best pickleball facilities I've ever played at. This has got to be the biggest facility ive ever been to!

Shoutout to @andersonscarpa .I'm convinced I sweated more than you this week.

Huge thanks to @zyiaactive for keeping me outfitted all week. Between the Florida heat, long training sessions, and tournament matches, the gear definitely helped me keep going.

And finally, a big thank you to @thehealthypickleballer . Having someone back home who keeps me healthy, moving well, and physically ready to compete is a lifesaver. All the work we put in away from the court makes weeks like this possible, and I'm grateful for everything you do.

Feeling motivated, grateful, and excited for what's next. Time to get back to work! taken in Play The Fort Pickleball by @lovam30940
