Friday Night Sauna...

Mix up your Friday night and join us for our Sunset wood-fired saunas from 6-7.30pm. This deluxe session includes natural salt scrubs, a clay face mask & guided meditation led by your host, making it the perfect way to unwind after a busy week!

Saturday Farm Shop and Cafe...

On Saturdays, there is something for everyone. We are open 10-3, rain or shine, offering freshly baked goods, hot coffee and Lovebrook produce.

And, while you are here, why not book a wood-fired sauna. We have 1-hour sessions at 10 am & 11 am, drop in for yoga at 12.30 am- 1.30 pm, or bring the little ones for family nature club at 10 am-11.30 am.

FREE - Water Kefir fermentation demo with Roisin from Wildling: November 7th @ 1.30pm

Roisin, founder of @wildling_drinks - a science teacher turned fermentalist, will run a workshop on the fermented drink, water kefir. She will share her passion for real fermented foods, talk about gut health and how we can build up our gut microbiome using simple ideas.

🍂 An autumnal plate and a little kitchen experimentation.

I’ve been looking for ways to get more protein and fibre into my meals, and have been reading Sophie’s Plant Kitchen and Dominique Ludwig for inspiration. Both have some lovely ideas, and between them they’ve encouraged me to experiment with ingredients I haven’t really used before. First up: silken tofu.

I had a beautiful squash from Lovebrook Community Farm in Kingston that had been sitting in my kitchen for a few weeks, waiting for its moment.

I cut it into wedges and roasted it with olive oil and herb salt from Seasoned Pioneers, alongside sliced red onion and a whole bulb of garlic from Knepp Wilding.

Meanwhile, I whizzed up a little carton of Clearspring silken tofu with a generous squeeze of lemon juice, some of the roasted garlic squeezed from its skin, and a good dessertspoon of tahini. Possibly rather a lot for one person, but I do love tahini.

I spread the tofu cream across the plate as a base, letting it lose its fridge chill first so it wasn’t too cold against the warm vegetables.

Then came the roasted squash and red onion, straight from the oven, with a scattering of black and white sesame seeds.

To finish, I whisked together a little olive oil, maple syrup and apple cider vinegar until it became a thick, glossy dressing, then drizzled it over everything. The sweet acidity worked beautifully with the earthy squash and creamy tahini.

The result was really delicious, and a lovely way to try something new while thinking more about protein and fibre.

My one learning was about texture. It needed something properly crunchy to contrast with all that softness. Some toasted sourdough would have been lovely, or perhaps toasted flaxseeds, nuts or a more generous scattering of seeds.

Definitely one to make again, with a little more crunch next time.

Join Florist Fran Zoutewelle for an autumnal dried flower wreath-making workshop.

If you are looking to get creative, try your hand at wreath making with dried flowers or want to enjoy a mindful afternoon in nature & good company, then this is the event for you!

The session will start with a demonstration from Fran about how to create a wreath using willow and a range of dried flowers- all grown at Lovebrook!

She will explain techniques, designs and offer tips and tricks on how to use a range of natural materials to create a unique, long-lasting wreath to take home. Then you will have free time to curate your wreath, with Fran and her assistant on hand to help.

No previous experience is needed — this workshop is perfect for beginners and creatives alike!

Winter Farm Fridays starting Nov 6th at Lovebrook!!!

Can’t wait to get started on our winter community programme…especially our new look Friday session.

All are welcome to join us every Friday through the season to get involved in all the site wide aspects of the farm. We have hundreds of trees to plant, mulching to do, pruning, planting, propagating, creating new areas of the farm and lots more.

The sessions will be a blend of learning , sharing knowledge, hands on practical tasks…and of course meeting new friends and making community connections.

Plus plenty of hot drinks flowing and a nourishing hot lunch provided by us at the end which is always a highlight.

You can commit to the whole season, which is a great way to have a winter anchor to the land at a time of year we really need it most. Or you are also very welcome to drop in when you can make it.

Lovebrook Seed Savers - October Meet up

This free meet-up is for anyone who is part of the Lovebrook seed saving community or wants to get involved in all things seed saving!

After the success of our seed saving talk with Kate earlier in the year, we realised there are so many people like us who are passionate about this topic. So why not come along and meet over a cup of tea.

n the meet-up, we will save seeds, share seeds, discuss what we are all growing, and it will be an opportunity to learn/ offer adivice. So whether you are green-fingered or new to growing, this relaxed meet-up is open to all.
