Celebrate the Solstice with @vaudevillains_nyb and these tiny little lives I’ve been tending to at Love City Gardens! 🌱 We’re throwing a midsummer garden party this Saturday, June 20 from 6-10pm and you’re invited! I rarely get to share this little oasis under the viaduct with friends - and it really does feel like an extension of my own backyard given the amount of time I spend cultivating this corner of the city into a green space. So it’s quite the treat to open it up this weekend and celebrate the season with familiar faces and lots of good energy. Please stop through if you can and revel with my beautiful mummer family! ☀️ by @lovecitymo

It’s been 1 month since we opened @lovecitymanayunk and I can finally take a step back and appreciate everything we accomplished. We got the keys January 15th and opened just under 4 months later on May 8th. Bananas. And what’s even crazier is that me, @lovecitymelissa , @lovecitykevin , @khenryb and @phillymiket did pretty much all of the work ourselves. And on budget. I can’t thank Melissa, Kevin and Mike enough for trusting me to lead the build out (all non-mechanical elements) and for lending all 6 of their hands to do the hard physical labor and so much painting. So. Much. Painting. And to Ken for helping realize my vision through so many projects that were beyond my personal skillset and for collaborating on some really incredible design elements (especially that window signage). We really couldn’t have pulled it off without your expertise. Huge thanks to @truehandsociety for the fantastic branding that really brings the space to life and @erectorsets for designing and building the bar based on a handful of reference photos and a quick brainstorm session. Also, @coleyunger and @___murp for holding it down in Callowhill while we were all in Manayunk.

People think @lovecitybrewing is a big operation. And it is in a lot of ways. We do a lot. But we are a very small team. A small team with a lot of grit, determination, enthusiasm (and a little dose of unyielding, sometimes stubborn, persistence) and I am so very very proud of us. It’s been an absolute delight watching @phillymiket take the reins with our fantastic staff this last month. After a long winter of being covered in construction dust, it’s a real treat seeing guests enjoying our beer & drinks, the delicious @sophies_bbq and all of the good vibes in the space that we built. Now, onto the next project…

TUMBLING TUMBLEWEEDS! We kicked off this year’s @rollercircus.official show with our version of the @casadecalexico tune, Minas de Cobre. We’re big Calexico fans, so we knew we had to give them a nod in our rodeo clown repertoire! It was the perfect soundtrack for spinning on skates and general horsin’ around! 🛼🐴

YIPPEE-YI-O!!! @rollercircus.official was a resounding success on Saturday! In just one year, our little circus band has grown to a magnificent seven with the addition of @mamatranga_ on guitar 🎸 and @margo_x_marz on vocals 🎤 ! We pulled off an epic finale number with our rendition of Johnny Cash’s Ghost Riders in the Sky. Featuring cameos from the entire Roller Circus cast, including @offdablockproductions in this clip. Also, hats off to the guy in the crowd who yelled HEEYA throughout the entire number! 🤣🤠

Probably not what my high school band director had in mind when he convinced me to play the baritone horn… 🤣🤡🎺

I’m having so much fun with my ridiculous clown band @serpentidifesta ! This crew is truly patient as I relearn how to play this beast! Last night’s @rollercircus.official was a hoot. Can’t wait for the next project! 🤠 by @lovecitymo

VNYB MAGIC! This is what community looks like… or at least my beautifully creative, sweet and strange community! 😅 I’m still riding high off the love that fuels @vaudevillains_nyb New Years rituals and finally getting around to posting some of @chris_bakerevens wonderful photos from the day. I’m really happy we were able to bring our message of transit funding and fair access with @transit4philly to the streets! Working hard to keep this energy going throughout the rest of 2026! 💪✨🍭 💕 by @lovecitymo

😢 BUT LIFE GOES ON… 😅 One of our favorite tunes from the Halloween set! “Ma La Vita Continua” by Nino Rota is featured in the finale of Fellini’s “Nights of Cabiria.” That scene is one of the main inspirations for this project, so it was extra special to perform it on the streets and at @lovecitybrewing last Friday! 🖤

👻 TRICK or TREAT? 🎃 When the veil is thin, a ghostly band appears from the fog playing somber tunes of the undead. We took to the streets last night, strolling around Philly’s Callowhill neighborhood with our spooky repertoire. Best way to celebrate the season! 🎻🎷🥁
