POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Love, Lucy began as a space to share little pieces of my heart and has evolved into a mission to serve the women of this world.

It is through my own journey — of disembodiment, of disconnection to my body, of outsourcing, of debilitating self-criticism — that has brought me right here. It is because I have traversed such dark waters that I can now stand in the light to guide others through their own struggle. It is because of this that I can look back at life’s unfolding with gratitude, for it has made the mission so profoundly clear. These are the first true, vulnerable steps in this space. So, I thank you from the deepest place of my heart, for being here.

A small collection of words that have a whole lot of meaning to me, and I hope they speak to you as well. The written word has the potential to change the world and I believe that by creating and sharing pieces of our hearts, we can enact growth in one another.

These are words I have heard/ I have written / I have read / that have been shared with me. Take what you need.

The practice of writing and reading, with no judgment and with no agenda, is beautiful. It is life-giving. It is creative and wonderful and sometimes hard and uncomfortable too. This has been an avenue for release, vulnerability, and evolution for me for a long time. I hope it can be for you, too.

Creating a new home requires the ebb and flow between both creativity, visioning, intuition, and getting. it. done.

It’s a beautiful balance of the masculine and feminine working individually and yet, together all at once. It is delicious to see the unfolding of a home begin to feel like yours.

DEBILITATING PAIN IS NOT NORMAL, BUT THIS IS

• Increased sensitivity to pain and overall greater inflammation (due to increased prostaglandin production)
• Loose stools or mild bloating (due to increased prostaglandins)
• Mild constipation (because estrogen is at its lowest)
• Mild pelvic heaviness, the heaviness in your lower belly. This is a result of an increased volume of your uterus from the thickening of your endometrial lining)
• Mild cramping (due to increased volume in prostaglandins that contract the uterus, so the lining is shed and bleeding is controlled)
• Mild fluid retention, belly bloating or fullness, mild breast fullness and sensitivity (due to changes in progesterone and estrogen levels causing the body to retain more water and salt)
• Cravings for sugar, carbs (likely due to drop in seratonin), chocolate (which some hypothesize is due to drop in magnesium), and red no meat (to antidote iron lost with our bleed). Cravings are information, so having hormone-friendly snacks on hand is the key💌 by @lovelucy____

I know I am not the only one. Years and years of disembodiment, feeling disconnected and out of my body. Turning against myself & looking outward for answers. The acne was the tip of the iceberg. A symptom of a body under-nourished, under-fed under-spirited, and completely misunderstood.

It all led me here. Took me into the rabbit-hole of women’s health and education. To my love of the female body and its undeniable power.

To the deepening understanding of self.

To the end of constant outsourcing.

To full-bodied trust.

To this path, in service of you.

Hi, I am Lucy Crowther. I am a menstrual cycle educator and somatic yoga teacher whose mission is to educate and guide women into their own embodiment. To support YOUR journey into hormone harmony and full-body trust. To fill the gap of confusion and fear surrounding our female biology.

Thank you for being here, thank you for being a part of this journey.

🌑💌
Bleeding with the new moon carries meaning amongst many ancient cultures. It is referred to as THE WHITE MOON CYCLE. This time is linked to the mother archetype, representing fertility, creation of life itself or bringing a creation to life, and a nurturing energy.

Like the new moon, who remains completely whole in the sky yet unseen, we are asked to draw into ourselves and reflect in order to renew. Go within, commune with the shadowy parts of yourself, learn from them, hold them, or simply be with them.

Welcome to the white moon cycle, who is bleeding?🌑 by @lovelucy____

I love to talk about the TABOO, the TMI, the thoughts and wonderings that pass through your mind but refrain from sharing.

Tell me.

What did you dream of? What was the consistency of your cervical mucous? Are you bleeding? What irrational thought came to your mind?

Women/menstruators are programmed to keep it in. Our bodies and their natural cycles treated as *taboo*.

What happens when a topic is purposely left out of conversations?

Shame, self-blame, confusion, isolation. All things I am sure most women have experienced in their life. But, why should it be this? Why don’t we openly speak about our menstrual cycle?

Because it makes others uncomfortable? It is impolite? Improper? Gross?

Well, I think it’s time we speak up. We share our stories. We ask our questions. It is my goal to provide those spaces for women & humans who bleed.

Pay attention. Go outside. Take your time. Notice. Feel the grass between your toes. Look up!! At the sky!!! Watch the sunset or rise. Enjoy the summertime, relish the winter. Recognize the importance of a season of rest & hibernation to once again flourish with the heat of the sun on your skin.

Look to the ways of nature to understand yourself deeper. We are one🍃 by @lovelucy____

Menstrual Phase · Inner Winter
The great release. Energy draws inward, intuition sharpens, and your body asks for rest. This is your time to slow down, reflect, and listen. Nothing needs to bloom yet.

Follicular Phase · Inner Spring
A fresh start. Energy rises and curiosity returns. You may feel lighter, more playful, and hungry for new ideas. Plant the seeds.

Ovulatory Phase · Inner Summer
Full bloom. Your energy is magnetic, expressive, and outward. It’s a beautiful time to connect, speak up, create, and be seen.

Luteal Phase · Inner Autumn
The harvest and the truth-teller. Energy turns inward again, and your inner critic becomes an inner editor. What’s no longer working rises to the surface. Nest, complete, and honor your boundaries. by @lovelucy____

In May of 2026, PCOS was officially renamed PMOS. What may seem like a small decision, actually took years and many passionate practitioners & doctors to enact. The renaming of this famously mis-diagnosed hormonal and endocrine problem can drive real change for those living with PMOS.

The problem → the name PCOS oversimplified the condition to cysts and ovaries, when most people who have it, don’t experience these symptoms at all. Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS) accounts for the multi-system nature of this condition.

September happens to be PMOS awareness month. 1 in 8 people with ovaries have PMOS and unfortunately, many go undiagnosed due to lack of education and knowledge. It is my mission to fill the missing gaps in women’s health education, so I hope this post shed some light on this very important matter.

A ritual to do to welcome autumn:

Find grounding in nature. A comfortable seat perhaps below a tree or in the grass. Close your eyes & spend time in your thoughtfulness. Open your mind to the intelligence of the natural world surrounding you, supporting you. Acknowledge your personal growth over the summer months. All you are, all you have done for yourself and for your community. Call upon gratitude for what is and so often goes unidentified.

Life. Breath. Moment.

Acknowledge the harvest and bounty and prepare yourself for the stillness of winter. The necessary dormancy to perpetuate new life. It is in these times we are given the gift of facing our inner darkness and convening with the parts of us we often do not. It is here, where the birth of our inner light takes form.

In honor of this, light a candle & offer your words of gratitude to the light.
