One year ago today, July 24 my beautiful firstborn, Tanya, went home to Jesus and was met by her brother Bill and her grandmother Momo. Some days the ache still takes my breath away. Some days I catch myself reaching for my phone to text her. Some days I hear her laugh in the wind. And some days I hear her whiny voice begging, lol. But even in the depths of this grief, I’ve learned that God‘s love doesn’t abandon us in our darkness valley. He sits with us in the silence. He catches every tear. And somehow, he weaves beauty from our broken pieces. To anyone walking through loss today, your pain is real, your grief is valid, and it’s OK to not be OK. But please don’t lose hope. God sees you. He has not forgotten you. When you don’t understand, when you can’t see his plan, when you can’t trace his hand, you can trust his heart. One year ago today, July 24, my beautiful first born, Tanya, went home to Jesus and was met by her brother, Bill and grandmother, Mamo. Most days, the ache still takes my breath away. If you know, you know. March 29, 1981 - July 10, 2021. Four years ago today I became a different person and just because you learn to live with the pain doesn’t mean you can’t try to make new memories especially for July (last few photos). by @lovnaturally

As a mom who has lost 2 children 3 years apart both in the month of July, I see you. I’m praying for your heart. Be encouraged. Forgive the ignorance of those that choose not to understand your grief. We never get over it, we just learn to live with it. You matter, to me, and most importantly, to God. by @lovnaturally

Wishing this amazing soul a happy birthday. As you celebrate double 3, symbolic of The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit, like them let your light shine. Thank you for living authentically and thank you for teaching me how to live authentically, unapologetically.
