The Obituary...

This seems like the ideal martini variation for celebrating five years of NO TIME TO DIE. For added Bond vibes I substituted Lillet for the the Vermouth and coated my glass in @stgeorgespirits absinthe verte, resulting in a seafaring taste I think would go well with oysters (I may try a drop of saline in the next mix) - allowing me to celebrate the anniversary with a libation clean and fresh on the palette.

2 fl oz Old Tom Gin
1⁄3 fl oz Bianco Vermouth
1⁄6 fl oz absinthe by @lowbellstudio

The Broken Plane.

The Paper Plane Cocktail is an undisputed modern classic, but there is real fun to be had examining the many variations on it that have been developed in the last fifteen or so years. The Broken Plane swaps Bourbon out for Gin and Aperol for Elderflower, resulting in a lighter, bouncier take on the formula that still let's Amaro Nonino shine. And of course, whenever I think of a broken plane, I think of the comically out-of-her-depth aviator-in-training from LIVE AND LET DIE. Same time tomorrow, Mrs. Bell?

3⁄4 fl oz London Dry Gin
3⁄4 fl oz Elderflower liqueur
3⁄4 fl oz Amaro Nonino Quintessentia
3⁄4 fl oz Lemon juice
3 drop Saline solution by @lowbellstudio

The Ford Cocktail.

Perhaps my favorite martini variation, the Ford Cocktail requires Old Tom Gin (a sweeter, richer predecessor to the London Dry style) and Bénédictine for a honeyed, herbal bent on the classic. While it traditionally calls for dry vermouth, I find it to be another interesting use for Cocchi Americano - provided you aren't scared away by its 1:1 ratio with the gin.

1 1⁄2 fl oz Old Tom Gin
1 1⁄2 fl oz Dry Vermouth (or Cocchi Americano)
1⁄3 fl oz Bénédictine D.O.M. liqueur
2 dash Orange Bitters
2 drop Saline solution by @lowbellstudio
