Getting my solo trip to Uzbekistan featured in @beritahariansg still feels a little surreal. Berita Harian is one of Singapore’s national newspapers, specifically in the Malay language (for those Uzbekistan friends I met during my trip and are on my IG now and might be wondering).

What started as a trip for me to learn how to navigate on my own, to be comfortable with being alone, turned into one of the best experiences I’ve ever had.

I think that’s the funny thing about doing something scary. You go in thinking you’re just trying to survive it… but you come out changed.

I couldn’t have done this without @adibjalal, who supported me from the very beginning, the kindest guides who made me feel safe every step of the way, and my friends who checked in on me constantly.

And especially @eleventhour… who checked on me every single day without fail. That meant more than you know.

Sometimes being “alone” doesn’t really mean you’re alone at all.

This was my first solo trip, and I still can’t believe I did it so I don’t think I’ll stop yapping about it until my next trip. HAHA

Been getting a little carried away with the shutter speed controls on the iPhone 18 Pro lately. Most of these were taken around Gardens by the Bay, just playing with movement, light trails and the starburst effect.

Very fun seeing familiar places turn into something a little less familiar. 📸

Caught a fire show in Perhentian Islands by this group of young, wildly creative fire artists from @flow.jobs (still not over this account name 😒😂) and naturally I had to test the new Pro Controls on the iPhone 18 Pro.

Played around with the shutter speed and somehow the fire trails turned every frame into a little piece of art. 🔥

I know there are mums who “snap back” within months. Mums who are back in the gym, back in their old clothes, looking like they never had a baby.

I’m three years postpartum and that just wasn’t my story.

I had a C-section. I still have my mum pouch. I’m not the most active person, and getting back into movement has taken me a lot longer than I thought it would.

But I’m learning that progress doesn’t have to mean getting my old body back.

Right now, it looks like showing up. Learning how to use my core again. Getting a little stronger. Feeling more capable in my body. And slowly building a relationship with movement that I actually want to keep.

There’s no prize for getting there the fastest.

So if you’re a mum and you feel like everyone else has somehow “bounced back” while you’re still figuring it out, you’re not late.

Got my hands on the new iPhone 18 Pro and naturally, I went straight for the camera. 📸

These are the 3 features I’m most excited to play with as a photographer, especially now that I can get a little more intentional with how I shoot straight from my phone.

Already obsessed with how much more creative control we get this time around.
