Dastan Café & Roastery is neither new nor a relic of the past. It stands in the middle of time a bridge connecting what once was to what is yet to come.
Story began in 2010. For a while after 2015, Dastan stepped away from the scene. Today, it returns renewed, reshaped, and reimagined with a spirit that carries the soul of the past and the vision of the future.
Once known simply as a café, Dastan has evolved into a café, a roastery, and a dedicated producer of specialty coffee. Tonight is Chelleh night…
Chelleh Night (also known as Yalda Night) in this poster is an Iranian celebration of the longest night of the year, when families gather to stay awake together and welcome the return of longer days. It marks the beginning of the cold “forty-day” period of winter (chelleh), and it’s filled with warmth: people share pomegranates and watermelon, drink tea, tell stories, and often read Hafez poetry as a playful kind of fortune. More than a date on the calendar, it’s a night about light winning slowly—through closeness, tradition, and hope.
