Since I moved to Paris, I kept seeing people walking by the Seine in VR headsets and thought: what could possibly be happening in there?

So I joined them.

For an hour, we walked along the real Seine while watching a virtual version of Paris’s history. We were together, but mostly silent—headphones on, eyes covered, each person inside their own experience.

It was strange, funny, and at times a little sad. Every time I took my goggles off to take pictures, I felt grateful to see the actual river again.

I turned the experience into a short photo project. The full immersive gallery is now on my website—link in bio. taken in Paris, France by @lucasbfoto
