Northwest & Nebulous is out today on Pure O Records!

I wanted to make a hopeful record about a queered experience of boreal landscapes, animacy, fluidity, and euphoric possibilities, as well as creating something that holds multiple modes of accessibility for you,the listener. I’m hopeful that i’ve accomplished this

It’s a record that I am extremely proud of and I am feeling blessed and grateful to have had the opportunity to work with and be supported by some really wonderful people that I love and care about. My heart feels rather full.

I don’t actually have loads of personal copies left which is pretty astonishing so if you want to order it, go get it on bandcamp etc and It’s available in all record stores that know what’s good for them too.

I have an album launch in Liverpool on the 5th at Fluid Space with the phenomenal Lola de la Mata and there are very few tickets left so be quick with that too.

Extra big thank you’s to

Nicholas Branton, Rachel Nicholas, Jon Davies, Zoë Miller, Rich Harris-Bond, Emily Magpie, Help Musicians, Jenny Robson, Stef Bradley, Rosie Terry Toogood, Sanna Charles, Sam Walkerdine, the books of Timothy Morton, Jennifer Lucy Allan, Mummy, Daddy, Joe, Luci Mercer, Jess Beaumont, Bob’s Burgers & Dana Scully, Cargo Records, Press On Vinyl and lots of other humans/non human people.

As is probably clear , i am now parent to Sawyer the cat, he is a beautiful boy and i love him plenty, even when he gnaws my feet or when i’m scooping his poop. He is taking meditative approach to helping me in the studio at the moment.

Much love to @hrgrey__ @tranquiltails.uk and @tailsanimalwelfare for guiding Sawyer to me with all their care and hard work 🙏🌈🙏🌈🙏🌈🙏🌈🙏 by @lucemawdsley

Hello everyone!

This week Upset The Rhythm are thrilled to have one of our favourite guitarists return to London. Marisa Anderson is an exceptional talent; her new Thrill Jockey album reimagines traditional songs from places the United States has been in conflict with during her lifetime - her stunning interpretations steeped in humility and humanity.

We still have some tickets available for Marisa’s performance on Friday night at Chats Palace with the amazing Luce Mawdsley in support too.

See you there!
