I lied. I want it all - loudly, publicly. Rave about me as I rave about you. Love is meant to be seen, heard and felt. I feel it. I do. #resetwithlu by @luceyok

Thank you for chasing dreams with me and growing alongside me. Watching you graduate while celebrating my own journey feels beyond like a full-circle moment. Words can’t describe our journey together.
We rose anyway. One word ..Jehovah.

My parent’s post was getting too far down my page.
They’re the reason for many of my reasons.

Whenever I think of writing letters
I always pen them to you first.
I prayed today that you forgive me.
For all the times I was ungrateful
For all the things I didn’t know
For every time I never said thank you
Thank you
For surviving the Khmer Rouge genocide
For your bravery to make that brutal trip to America
Thank you for still choosing to be alive
For deciding to have 5 kids -
I’m thankful for all of my siblings
Rosey
Lamar
Allex
Fellyx
They’re awesomely amazing.
You both did amazing.
For making Section 8 housing feel like luxury.
For making welfare office trips the most comfortable you can for us by packing full blown Khmer dishes since you knew we’d be there all day.
You truly taught me there will always be food at home.
For buying blankets for each of us - I got to choose the tweety bird one.
For feeding my childhood friends too without knowing how much it costs to feed 5 kids and then some
For making killing roaches feel like a disco party with our happy feet when they scattered as soon as we turned on the lights
For never missing any of my dentist appointments
For filling out forms with very little understanding because of the language barrier
For packing up 5 kids to still take us to the beach, the parks and clam picking.
For inspiring me to feel so alive with “so little.”

I felt rich with you as parents
Until I went to college
I started comparing.
I’m sorry I allowed my perspective to shift
and my gratitude to drift.
Please forgive me.

You gave me more than this world can ever hand to me.
You showed me love intangibly.
You taught me the importance of time.
The value of family.
You inspired me to own my story
to be unashamed of my upbringing
to forgive my past.
You taught me this life is mine.

Thank you for your courage
Even through war, trauma, barriers + more than I could ever fathom.

Thank you for being the first to show me abundance without material.
I’ve always been wealthy because of you.
Thank you for impacting my heart truly.

🏢 SOLD | 📍134 Hampden St, Roxbury

🏷️$9,800,000

NS Commercial is proud to announce the sale of this 76,000 SF property situated on a .65 acre lot, set for a full #conversion to self-storage 📦, including a new 32,000 SF, 6-story building plus 7,500 SF of retail/office space 🏗️.

Sourced completely off market, our team tapped into its deep network to connect the dots on the capital stack and bring this deal across the finish line 🏁

Why self-storage in Boston? Well the numbers speak for themselves: at just 0.7 SF per capita, Boston is the most undersupplied major metro in the U.S., with storage rents up 14.1% year-over-year, #1 in the nation 📈.

Major congrats to all parties involved. This is another landmark deal in the transformation of Roxbury that we are honored to be a part of 🤝 taken in Roxbury, Massachusetts by @luceyok

You can never lose when you know yourself so well that you don’t have to question who’s in your corner.

The Efficacy Reset.

In this life - there will be reoccurring moments where people, things, experiences will attempt to tell you who you are, what you are and much more.

There will also be an opportunity for you to recognize your power of choice in these circumstances. Whether you choose to agree to what has been stated about you, whether you choose to respond or not, know you can disagree.

Take caution that the option to agree can be detrimental to yourself and can lead to self betrayal.

There are so many opinions, interpretations, judgments and stories many will have of you.
It is imperative you learn about yourself to define who you are, love who you are so nobody or nothing else can persuade you differently.
Not even trends.
You believe different.
Be convicted in your goodness of truth because you’ve built the confidence.

I know ducks caught a stray with this one and though it’s okay to be a duck - it’s also okay to know you are not one. You are a Phoenix- or something else of your liking.
