This week, on the 63rd anniversary of the 16th Street Baptist Church bombing, the church opened its new Education and Visitor Center in Birmingham; a space created to ensure the lives of Addie Mae Collins, Denise McNair, Carole Robertson and Cynthia Wesley, and the movement their loss helped ignite, are never treated as history alone.

We’re proud to celebrate our partners at the @uscivilrightstrail on this remarkable accomplishment. What they and the leaders of 16th Street Baptist Church have built is a place of reflection, education, and recommitment that will teach and move visitors for generations to come.

As Rev. Arthur Price Jr., pastor of 16th Street Baptist Church, put it: “I want them to take away that history is not just in the past. History is also present, and that there’s still work to do.”

Congratulations to everyone who brought this vision to life. We’re honored to celebrate this milestone with you. 🕊️

Here’s some news worth sharing: Our campaign “UnPlan Your Trip” for the Alabama Tourism Department has been named an ESTO finalist for the Marketing Momentum Award. 🏆

It started with a simple belief: the moments you remember most are rarely the ones you scheduled.

So we went looking for those — the hidden gems, the detours, the small discoveries that only happen when you loosen your grip on the plan. That became UnPlan Your Trip. Alabama, exactly as you find it. 🩵

If a campaign is going to sound like Alabama, it should come from Alabama. 🎶 We brought in @brookandbluff , a band born right here, and their sound gave the whole thing a heartbeat. Nothing borrowed, nothing generic — just something distinctly, unmistakably Alabama.

Then we chased it across the state. 🚗
4 shoots. 15 days. 36 locations. A lot of early mornings, a lot of miles and a lot of moments worth holding onto.

We’re proud of the work, but the idea underneath it is the real point: the best trips leave a little room for the unexpected.
