I had a simple goal for 2026
More self portraits
For the practice
For the empathy
For the inspiration
For the honesty of the portrait
.
.
.
It’s difficult to look at yourself and see someone different than you know. Is massively unfortunate to shoot selfies … in the era of selfie and social media.. even still.
The idea of being seen
Or is it assumed or miss understood
This is a power deterrence that we will come with all manner of justifications for valid or not the affect is the same.
Breaking cycles and building new rhythms is best done by doing. Maybe I’ll tackle this and make at least one portrait that embodies me most. taken in Gray Eagle Lodge by @luckys_camera

Small towns around the area from their camel races to their rodeos are always worth a visit and help you understand the people and connect more to the and around you. This was Doyle days complete with a parade, pancake social breakfast at the local volunteer fire department, bands, lizard races, more fun at the buck inn and vendors with food drinks and plenty of fashion and some the best raffle prizes ive seen in a while ( did you see that picnic table?). Now that I’m older I understand that it’s my nature to be in the country lord and be a city don and this particular cut of paradise isn’t for everyone… its a quite deeply private community and the highland paradise can be a rough start start for the thin skinned. by @luckys_camera

There you are on that walk in the woods and you see it the most epic flower, a stoic tree in the meadow or that breath taking valley view… you snap the photo..ugh it must be the camera… sounds like Lucky’s Camera can rub off on you. I’m excited to be leading a hike along landscape photography and tree id with some very special organizations this week. by @luckys_camera
